I remember a chilli stall down Bush Market that was there for a while but now gone, used to seel chilli con carne and rice in a tub a bit bigger than a pot noodle or a larger one, more wasabi curry size. For a fiver, smaller one was 3.50. Anyways I remember they were fuking delicious and there was all kinds of exotic con carne's to choose from, pork ones beef, mince, lamb, chicken all different flavours and that. So any chilli conosours here?
They are, and I dont have beans in anything else as I hate them (@luvgonzo to confirm) but I can't lie they are nice in a con carne for some reason. It makes no sense to me either bro just the way it is for me. Anyways you make a good point, tha what's I was on about, Im bored with a traditional con carne, what could you replace the kidney been as with that would add to the dish you think? Im kinda stumped off the top of my head right now tbh, carrots? Really small salad potatoes? Like marble sized. Wa bout slightly fried baby toms? Just to warm em up kinda fry? But then you'd want a more meaty tasting sauce rather than tomatoey namean?
Little diced potatoes for me, maybe peas at a push sweet corn for you obviously the tomatoes.....hmmm...I do t like it when they whole and they burst...too tomatoey...maybe chopped peppers to replace the kidney beans? dunno really...I prefer a spag bol tbh
Anyone here eat Swedish meatballs? I know they're disgusting in terms of content (probably) but I love those little bundles of heart disease
Oh hello 1990.... oh yeah, they didn’t have an invention called digital photos back then. Looking forward to my Polaroid through the door of what you’ve eaten tonight!
Please may you take this photo again, and put your hand in the photo just so I can confirm you made these. Thanks in advance, Ginge
Needs the carrot, onion, celery base for me, smoked bacon and smoked paprika is a must for me. Also if using minced beef make about 50% nice and well fried/caramelised Not a conosour, it’s Just what I like.
I've got a fairly standard recipe, my chilli always delicious. It's probably a thousand or so pages back on here somewhere, must have posted it at least once! Cba to post it again though a minute. I do a slow cooker one using diced shin of beef, that's really good. You can't use mince in a slow cooker, turns to mush.
