Apologies, I was mid way through a couple of posts and hit send too early, before finishing the reply to you. Agreed. I don't know much about Johnson, he might be an improvement on Parkinson (shouldn't be too difficult). I was just trying to say, we have a nasty, recurring habit of lurching from one bad appointment to another. Although that's always easy to say in hindsight.

Not being rude but, after being on forums for many years, I have to say pessimists always believe they're the only realists. The facts are that any manager being asked to get a squad of two poor keepers, a pedestrian midfield and 3 hopeless strikers promoted would think twice ... IMO Johnson is about the best we can hope for and that's practical not emotional.

You've said that before and I'll ask you again because you didn't answer last time, how do you figure we're broke? We're being taken over by a very rich bloke who's hiring quality staff to set up a solid future at the club. How do we not have a pot to piss in? The reason we aren't getting Poch isn't because we're broke it's because we're in league one.
At this level we are bound by the fair play rules and it doesn't make much difference how much an owner has. Asa business we are broke and losing money which is what matters when it comes to signing players or a manager.
practical is still emotional, whats not practical can still be achieved, and to coin a phrase ...-fact.
