S.A.F.C. - the future

For me LJ looks like a solid championship manager and it's a step in the right direction imho. Looking forward to the good times ahead

 

Dress it up whatever way you want but if you had said a week ago we were getting Johnson 98% of fans wouldnt have been happy.

If we wernt going for the big name (possibly rightly) we go for the best up and coming manager out there. Not for a plodder who has a worse win record than the manager we have just sacked.

Madness.

 

Its been pretty clear they have been nowhere near any of the decisions made today

 

If you would have rather kept a manager who spent most of his career in League One, playing absolutely dross football, than have a manager who has spent most of his career managing in the Championship, playing attractive football, then you really are just being stupid.

I honestly hope Im wrong but this is not an inspiring choice.

This guy is a plodder...we should have gone out and got the best up and coming manger out there.

Our recruitment whether on the playing side or managment side is so poor...we never learn from our mistakes.

 

Can I ask, genuinely, with us where we are in the league, who you thought we could reasonably attract to manage us

Like I said Im hoping Im wrong but this certainly does not inspire me.

 

I absolutely didn't want him when his name popped up, I still don't want him and I'll continue not wanting him when/if he's announced.
The only thing left is for him to prove me wrong and I hope more than anything he does but I'll not be happy with him just because we signed him. Pretty far from it to be honest

Johnson has achieved nothing of note.

Id be delighted to be proved wrong but its Parkinson MkII all over.

 

I was not a Parkinson was right for the job fan but supported him till it was apparent he was not going to do the job required, I feel somewhat different about the restructure and look forward to having a PLAN , Johnson is happy with his role within the structure and is young enough and experienced enough to get the plan started . Whether he is up to the job we will have to see but he should be given the chance .

 

Wasn’t personal abuse just saying what you said was a bit stupid and nonsensical. Give the guy a chance ffs. We are in League One, we aren’t going to be able to get “the best up and coming manager”, we managed to get a manager who has done it in the league above ours though, which is impressive. But you would rather have Phil Parkinson, Jesus.

 

I havent but happy for my confidence to be boosted!
