I'm expecting a flurry of good news stories over the next few days and it'll change everyone's mood.

The manager may not be Roy Keane or Allardyce but I think people will accept the sense of it when all the pieces fall into place.
(I'm just repeating that bit and have no idea who it is.)

The reason I've quoted myself is that I was told in July 'FPP' wanted a resolution, from the little I was told, optimistically dreamt they'd either take over or, at least, leave their money in the club. However, the man who told me about the proposed resolution has messaged saying 'Resolved!' I don't get to cross question so that's it. But, as he has a vested interest, I'd have hoped for a longer message if it was 'good news' but perhaps it's better than it would've been, let's hope so.

Cheers smug, I’m now thinking it’s Johnson as he fits the way the club is heading. The cowleys want to be in soul control and that why I think they’d be out the running. Who ever it is we all have to get behind them cause as we know when the fans get going it means the team is doing good

He's a great lad and dry as can be in real life.

He stayed at the Sheikh's place after a Southampton game and Mrs Smug thought he was class.

Ainsworth maybe but he's at a very small club likely to end up in L1 next season. I can't see a manager leaving say an established Champ club to come to us, just wouldn't be worth it. On paper, come to Sunderland and you will get a season if you're lucky. Most managers want stability. Chance to build. Historically you can't do that here

Now if I’m allowed to make unfounded speculation up, what would be great is if the owner of Nice (the INEOS chap) was mates with KLD and Sartori thru french football and was our 3rd investor. Now that would be serious money.

personally I’m expecting one by Monday, based on what I’ve heard on here but no other intel.

I don’t understand why they’d sign today and we’d not know until Monday (which I believe Bob suggested). The club doesn’t close at weekends for a start. Only plausible reason would be the takeover is due to be confirmed Monday and they want to do it all together.

Either way - if anything gets signed I’d be amazed if it didn’t leak out in some way, either thru Nixon or Keith or this football insider page that reported speakman first

NQD posted he’d heard KLD had paid them off a few days back. It’s one of the very few times he’s posted anything specific rather than just hyperbolic negativity.

That's a shame if true, but if it just muddies the waters in relation to the new owners plans, it might be best in the long run. Fingers crossed anyway.
