I’m unbeaten in 16 games on my fm for Sunderland and comfortably in the top two.

Just in case a certain fm player who is set to own a considerable stake in Sunderland is reading this...

Really mate, the only thing that makes that story sound mad is the time Shack was playing.

I played with a lad who could do similar in training. He could, (sometimes mind!), get a dig into the ball , see it go about twenty or thirty yards, at about ten foot high. If he got it right it would land, start to spin back, and once it started it doing that it would keep coming back, and if left would sometimes go well past where it came from. Not with steel cap boots mind, and not with a heavy ball, but I've seen him do it.

I tried mesell a couple of times. Sent the bloody thing go miles away and had to go and get it!

    Same here.
He sat on the ball against West Germany in 1954. They were world champions at the time. The FA didn’t like him taking the Mickey and he never played for Rngoand again.

He was a good cricketer as well.

I’m not doubting the laws of physics and ability to back spin a football mate, it was the ‘beckoning’ of it.

Just filling time while we are waiting for firm news.

I’ve got this image of Shack like the ‘dove from above’ on Shooting Scars nodding in his own crosses and that <laugh>

    There's no chance of that.

    Personally I don't like the man ...

    ... he's a liar, a racist and a bit thick.

He tries so hard to be eloquent but uses big words in all the wrong places ...

... he's footballs answer to Andre Previn.

He also branded US racists in a game which timelines show never happened.

No way will he be the man. Not to do with colour that is immaterial.

Its character and ability. He’s neither to suit.

Yeah, he sued the club and lost. I think most people heard the stories of his il discipline and drinking at the time. He was chucked down the stairs in the old Annabels night club for his behaviour there one night, and later supposed to have been put through one of the windows of the Boulevard. A real waste of a talent as he could have been so much more.

Just as a footnote he died in a nursing home in Grange over Sands in Cumbria about ten miles from where I live.

You never know mate, FM is a plethora of deep researched info which is pretty much on the button....listening to TS today they had the Football Manager CEO on talking....The Government had actually recruited him as an advisor for work permit regulations post Brexit...he said that on FM 21 there is 17 different permeatations of work permit criteria for allowing EU footballers to sign for clubs here, The government forensically went through them and set the rules they have now written and rubber stamped from Football Managers researched permeatations!

In addition he actually said its going to be easier for players from non EU countries to find a route to play in the UK as Oppose to European players.....in certain cases....most notably South America he said
