7 points in 5 games, that is ****in shoite. Robbie Keane has been inspirational Firstly Celtic were piss poor. Never posed themselves on the match like I thought they would. Probably Mowbrays fault for playing an unfit McGeady and Keane. Also, the only 2 real midfielders he played were NGuemo and Brown, he should have had 3 midfielders in there. Bougherra made some ****in crackin' tackles yesterday. He could have been sent off but then so could have Fortune. Rangers had most of the play unlike the last 2 old firm games. However i think if we had scored early in the match we would have sat back like the first game at Ibrox. What a way to win it, well done Mo Edu
What did Fortune do? I thought he would have gone with Brown right, McGeady left & Nguemo & Crosas in the middle - keep it tight for the hour then bring on Kamara for one of the sitting midfielders. Rangers were **** scared the first half when Celtic had the 10/15 minute spell & were so deep Celtic ran out of ideas so resorted to giving it McGeady & expect him to beat every ****ing player by himself. Rangers sat deeper to account for Celtics pace upfront but Celtic never changed tact & never got a sniff because of it.
Fortune got booked early on then could have been booked again for an off the ball incident when he tripped McCulloch, the referee gave a free kick but nothing else. I disagree with the Brown sending off, they both should have got yellow cards. However, i understand the refs decision given his view
Nearly every ****ing decision was wrong!!! No wonder the SPL is a joke & we want to **** off to England
Idiots Like that will make much difference. The refs are just as ****e down there. Vidic should have been sent off yesterday but the referee bottled it. The tims start greetin' when it isn't going their way
The ref got nearly every decision wrong, the ref in the Man utd Villa game should have booked Vidic if he's given the foul at least...........but Gabby dived anyway. Vidic dived in & Gabby went to ground & left his trailing leg out to catch Vidics leg.
Nearly? I'm guessing the only one he got right was when he chopped off the Rangers goal? ''Aye Muir, aht wee **** Miller 'and bawd it''
He did handball it you bellend He didn't chalk a goal off as he'd already blown for the foul before the shot was hit. I don't think either side should have got a penalty so he got that right......but nearly every 50/50 ended up in a foul when quite a few of them were fair tussles - & that goes for both sides
it was a hand ball so nothing to chop off but i do think edu being brought down after boyd was a penalty (boyd wasnt). i thought the 10-15 mins you mentioned before was quite free flowing between the two and was only broken up by the ref dishing out a few yellows (probably just trying to get to grips early on, it didnt seem to work). thought it was a pretty good game all in and until the 93rd minute thought it was one of the best 0-0 draws i'd watched in awhile!
Someone mentioned that there were the same amount of fouls committed by each side? Oh well. Celtic just didn't deserve to win (or get a draw) anyway. I was genuinely fearing the game yesterday but the Gers strolled it
Celtic were **** bar a good 15 minute spell where Rangers looked really scared when we had the ball. Smith told them to sit 10 yards depper than usual due to the pace of Keane, Fortune, McGeady & Kamara.....& Celtic never adapted their tactics accordingly. The sending off did change the result of the game as I think as LR said it would have been a great 0-0........but it hasn't changed Celtics title hopes - we needed the 3 points to have any hope of catching you. A draw would not have been any good to us.
Strolled it??? Wouldnt go that far - you scored the winner with the last kick of the ball Oh and as for sendings off affecting the outcome of games - may i point of Bougerra could have been sent off (note could have - not shoudl have) well who set up the goal with the shot at the end? Had been off then arguably the gers may not have won. im not sayign this affected the game its just a way of showing a sending off (or not) can affect the outcome even if you think the player may not have been having a great impact up to the point they are sent off Anyway as brum says a draw was as bad as a defeat to us - and we werent going to win anyway - regardless of sendings off
You must be disappointed with the overall performance though Brum? Usually Celtic miss a load of chances but Rangers restricted that yesterday.
Cpurse I was Muir We all shouted about the ref at the time. But when the full time whistle went not one person in the boozer blamed the ref, Lafferty or anybody else bar Mowbray & the players in the Hoops for the lack of 3 points & more importantly the perfomrances the whole season. As I said to Frank & TN8 earlier if you lost every single game & we wont the title I'd be really embarrassed as we don't deserve it A few years back we came back from behind & won but this tie round we've been truly awful.
I didn't bother going mate. Most people I know were on the way to Wembley or saving themselves for the alldayer yesterday with the old firm then the Villa cup final. I had to get some new net curtains too so was a bit light on funds
12 hours in to the month , wonder if I can keep it the next 30 days at the top? ****ing nightmare to be fair. Had new windows put in, ones with plastic frames so the mrs wanted new nets that covered the whole window rather than screwing the hooks in to the plastic. Measured the drop - 72 inches. The shop only had 90 drop so I got them & arranged for my mom to alter them to the correct drop. I didn't quite measure the width though I just assumed as the curtains were 90 by 90 the width I needed would be 90, only realised that the 90 width of the curtains is just the one curtain Couldn't face going back to the shop to get more nets as the woman (quite hot) would think I'm a right tool!! So agreed with the mrs we'd get them another day & simply get plastic hooks with adhesive backing to temporartily put the old nets up. You don't understand how ****ing hard it is to get those hooks!!! Got the last 6 in Erdington & set about putting the old nets up which are 3/4 length of the window. Well the new windows are not as set back as the old ones so the ****ing net wire don;t stretch all round the bay!!! The mrs mom tries to help, big ****ing mistake. Trying to tell me you need to stretch the wire - I ****ing know that but I can tell that it wont stretch far enough!!! She stretches the wire to make it fit & breaks one of the plastic hooks Back to the shop to get a bigger net wire to fit the old ones up!!! They are now up, well just about as half the hooks are hanging off thanks to the mrs' mom. My mom has now taken over net buying duties.
