Too long ago to remember. Only thing I recall is it was a drab game on a beautiful afternoon and the only animation the crowd (not very big) showed was against our keeper,Peter Wakeham, for leaning against his goalpost while combing his hair.

 

No idea mate. Really glad I don’t have to make that decision.

 

What lads ? Ive only seen one name unless theres many people stuck together

 

He's a liar no doubt but he did well in both jobs he's had so far.

 

Peter Wakeham..not many remember him now. My first visit was around that time,not sure,maybe '62.
Team was Wakeham,Irwin, Ashurst,Anderson,Hurley,McNab,Hooper,Herd,Clough,Fogarty and Overfield.
Wish I could remember the match,my Dad couldn't remember either,so no chance now!
Mind you,Roker was packed to the gunnels!

 

Can someone summarise, who’s rumoured to be coming in and what role ?

We're getting a few lads in from Birmingham in some positions that needed to be filled.

Does anyone get a hint of Pep Clotet being appointed Head Coach?

 

Speakman and another lad from Birminghams academy apparently. Both well thought of. Both an upgrade.

 

My old mans first game was Arsenal at Roker Park in 1936, his last game was Arsenal our last premiership season at the SOL. he was kicked out (age 90) before the next home game against Leicester.

 

Technical Director - Kristjaan Speakman (currently Academy Director at B'ham)
Academy Director - Mike Dodds (currently Head of Elite Development (I think) at B'ham)

 

I assume it's closer mate aye, just how close no-one knows... but these appointments are a significant upgrade on the previous ones.... suggests there's some other influences pulling the strings to me.

And no, just because we want their academy lads doesn't mean we want an ex-manager of theirs.

Great, I can rule out an appointment of Zola or Redknapp then ha ha

I'm just getting a bit....I don't know sour on the whole situation now. Then I look at Derby and realise their takeover has been in the EFL's hands for the last few weeks so, that's okay..
