Thing about student debt is that you only start paying it back once you hit a certain salary threshold. Take your media studies degree, your circus skills degree and the old stalwart sociology degree and as long as you hover below the £26k mark you will never have to pay for it. Burd a while back got two student loans and had her tay-tays sorted out with the cash, said as she was a self employed hair dresser she'd never earn enough to have to cough up for the loan. Not just pesky darkies who know how to pull a scam.
Yes that's what I thought but Toby apparently paid for his wizzy computer course with cash he made from his gap year working part time jobs. After 3 years in full time education he came out with £1500 debt owed to his drug dealer and no other monies owed . An amazing achievement if it's true
Got my degree for nish. To be fair I was in my 30's and work paid for it. Much to my surprise I got an Attila, couple of swots got Geoffs, most got Desmonds and a few of the stoners and pissy-pants got a Douglas. First lecture in the first term was packed, not enough room for everyone to sit down. By the end of it all the bogus "students" had jacked it in, probably still got to keep their grants.

FFS I went to Uni in 2004, back then you had to have lived in the UK (or be registered with a local council) to qualify for any grants or benefits. I lived on campus in the ****ty dorms, £40 a month all in, £1200 a year fees and it was £1.80 for a pint of Stella in the Student bars. I generally earned about £600-£800 a month working and the rest through other dodgy activities. I got my degree, Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence B.S.C. I aced my French Baccalaureat and got the equivalent of 11 As, had all my applications for Unis accepted and chose the coolest one. Don't start a pissing contest when you have a 0.1 inch dick
