Given that Kiko missed the birth of his child to play, you'd think the others would have made a bit more of an effort, eh?
There seemed to be no desire or fire in the belly to actually win that game. I don't really understand how we thought we would score a goal the way we were playing. Is that the psychology of the players or the way they've been told how to play? Some rash tackles near the end suggested some frustration from the players.
There is that - but I find the presentation a bit amateurish, which is irrelevant really, and I'm not keen on the way the takings are split up. Apparently, the EFL take 30% of the 'gate receipts' and, of the remainder, the home team get what their fans pay + what the first 500 visiting fans pay. I'd rather my money went to Watford than the likes of Luton - that's why I tend to use the Hive for home games only, even though my IPTV service screens the Hive broadcast of the majority of our games.
If we played at home with 10 men behind the ball we would be slated. This was a big chance for Chalobah & Quina before other midfielders became back available and they failed to shine and both got frustrated. Only a point off the top though.
I'm not too sure about that. The biggest problem that I see was highlighted last night - our players are seemingly unable to pass the ball to their own team-mates, regardless of where they are on the pitch. I can't believe that they would be doing that deliberately - which would be the case if they were actually trying to play for a point. I think the problem is psychological - we need Pink Shirt Man back for a few sessions with the players.
Yes it is a b it.. but good to see the ex players talking.....and the four camera screening is so much better than the red button one camera fare... ....and no buffering issues most games.
Actually they can pass the ball to their team mates but only if they are behind or level with them and there are not too many opposition players to confuse them. One thing I thought odd last night was Quina doing the job Sarr should be doing, Sarr was doing great defensive work and seemed reluctant to venture too far up field most of the time.
Thanks to Luton beating Norwich even tho some posters seemed to hate the idea that a Luton win would have taken us to top if we had carried out our side of the deal
I think I made the point that Sarr was playing too deep. Probably told to, but we missed out on his attacking potential and the chaos that comes about when he uses his speed. He did get to the goal line a couple of times, putting in very dangerous crosses, but no one was there to get on the end of them.
