Lincoln fan (season ticket)here offering a few insights on the Cowleys....take it or leave it.
Firstly if you want stone age football these boys will deliver it and plan b does not exist.Decent motivators of men but have difficulty in handling players on 20k a week.....see Huddersfield where they put the high earners who wouldn`t play ball to train with the kids!
Plenty of experience in non league but one promotion in pro football to their name....fact.When at Lincoln they had total control of events and saddled the club with massive salary overheads which had to be slashed once they had pissed off.Moaned constantly about budgets in div 4 when their budget was div3 play off profile..fact.
Showed little loyalty to LCFC after achieving promotion playing mainly dire football which may work in div4 but has no future as you progress upwards. Our footy today under Appleton is like chalk and cheese with what the cowleys offered and all that with a budget 40% less than what the brothers were given!
Cowleys are a case of "give us full control" and whilst at Lincoln they hawked themselves around various clubs(wba/sheff wed) looking to get into the hotseat but did little due diligence on the basket case that is HTFC and got their wish of a championship job without really doing their full professional managers apprenticeship.........knew it would end in tears.
The Championship and non league footy are different worlds and the cowleys have their experience in the latter. The cowleys fall out at HTFC was an issue of power plus dire visuals on the pitch(stone age footy) and a complete failure to deal with highly paid footballers that wouldn`t stay behind for detention.
Currently the brothers are 1/2 favourites for the job with skybet and betvictor so they possibly must know something?..cowlys know rodwell!
Best of luck in getting the right man in the driving seat but you could do better than the brothers.

That certainly aint changed how underwhelmed i would be if its him. Dear me

That's odd because I've just found this on a Lincoln City forum:
"Ifind it incredible that fans of other clubs are so critical of Danny Cowley. Even some Shrewsbury fans say they wouldn't want him to replace the hopeless Sam Ricketts. Shall we remind people of the Cowley roll of honour?

I would be gutted if it is The Cowleys, we have a chance to make a real big statement of intent and show the football world we mean business and are on our way back! For me Pearson & Phillips is the dream team, Pearson takes no **** and can organise a team, Phillips would probably be still better than the planks we have up front and can surely inspire / coach them to up their game, the sight of super Kev on the sidelines would def boost morale amongst the fans, he’s been here when this place was literally rocking every home game he knows how good it can be.

You can’t dismiss the views of the fan Julio found - but he comes across a bit of a bitter knobhead even if he’s right.

Yes but it’s a piece of piss to save Huddersfield from relegation with only one point after seven games just ask what do you call him.<laugh>

To put the other side of Cowley I have been listening to a podcast that Huddersfield fans did the day after Cowley left and they weren’t happy he left, far from and really rated the job they did.
I can see plenty positives for the Cowley brothers to be fair. I just can’t see how it looks positive for the takeover and a sporting director but maybe I am wrong.

There was actually more than a few Lincoln fans happy with them, loads were unhappy when they fcuked off. I am not saying they are not dire, but a bit of sour grapes going on there from Lincoln. Wouldn't be my choice, hey ho though not me that makes the decisions. Couldn't give a fcuk about pretty footy in the third division, just want out.
