Watching last night and lost count of the number of times one of our players got the ball 20-25 yards out and instead of trying to take a defender on or make space and have a shot they turn straight away from goal and pass onto the wing

If that's the case, then we have dodged a bullet and it was the same old Poyet and his massive ego

More and more people on this board seem to be coming round to the idea of the Cowlys. I’m one of them. I’m reminded of an unknown partnership that Hartlepool took a chance on. Clough and Taylor. I’m not suggesting the Cowlys would be as successful, that’d take a lot of doing! But there are similarities: an ability to recognise weak points, and able to accurately assess replacements, able to get the best out of players and adjust their tactics to suit their own team and the opposition. Clough and Taylor cut their teeth at lower levels, Hartlepool then Brighton. When they moved up to 2nd div Derby, who had been struggling to get promoted for about 5 years, they got rid of half the team and brought in successful replacements. If my failing memory is right, they took 2 players with them to derby. It didn’t bother them that they were bringing in players from a lower division because they had the ability to recognise talent. I have a feeling the Cowly brothers are of the same ilk. Only don’t blame me if I’m wrong!

I had a very long blow by blow account from someone connected to yesterdays events.

I can't say who so, I'm afraid, that's the best I can tell you.

Whoever it is, they need to be brave enough to try and win games, not settle for avoiding defeat like the last 2 managers

Summerbee (Tom sloanes) over the road is saying he is suprised at the poor reaction to Lee Johnson.
Then bigging up his non achievements.
prepare for another Phil Babb/Howard Wilkinson moment.

That is exactly what I'm getting at...from being very ambitious to just other, lower league, journeymen applicants. There is just something wrong with this but I can't put my finger on it ..Yet!

    This.

We need a manager to be positive and get on the front foot and actually attack teams - not play 5 at the back and 2 holding midfielders against the worst defence in the league. I think the squad we have is good enough to do that - christ i still think Grigg can score a few IF (and a big IF) he gets the correct service into him. We've been woefully inadequate on that front ever since we signed Grigg. That leads onto another thing - recruitment - its no good buying players like Grigg without the first ****ing clue how we are going to play to his strengths.

    Not necessarily mate.

There's quite a bit of manipulation going on, in the media, so I may be wrong.

It seems someone's trying to stir things up and cloud the water.

    Who knows what might happen.

I was told to 'stand by my bed' this morning, by the same journalist, and I'm still standing.
