You can honestly see the new man hitting the ground running, have you seen our squad? lads on here saying there is a good squad in there somewhere are saying that to make themselves feel better because believe me apart from 3 or 4 players that is about the worst squad in this division some of the useless fat bastards are only here to pick up their last pay check before they disappear for ever.
Tempted to post “Flanders ower the road had heard Pochettino is keen” on PF just to wake them up a bit this morning.
Have you any idea where Lincoln were when the Cowley’s arrived and have you noticed they are looking down on us now. Yes that’s right Lincoln are looking down on us now.
I know you have a love in with the Cowleys and you've praised their attacking brand of football but they've been non-league most of their careers while Jose was at big clubs building his reputation so the comparison doesn't work for me. All I'll ask is how many times have you seen a Cowley team play as I know for a fact the Huddersfield fans have and they thought the football was ****? Do you think you know better than them?
Having a good CV is no guarantee of success at any level just look at managers like Arsene Wenger or even the Wolves Manager. Frank Lampard Steven Gerrard there are numerous ones out there who did not have a great managerial cv they may have been good players or have done so.e kind of management previous but it looks like they had a sort of vision of what they want to achieve and tried or are trying to make it happen. We need a manager with an idea or a vision and a drive to put everything in place from top to bottom and if that means sacking the tea lady and getting a better one then I am ok I agree to a certain extent but I may be a bit callous with this in the fact that the club needs to be sorted from top to bottom and I have seen posts calling for a full overhaul and to get rid of the bad eggs or root and branch all of these terms have been used. I my honest opinion we need to be stripped bare and have to be ruthless with no space for nostalgia. Football is a serious business and unfortunately we need to take sentiment out of it if our club is to move forward. I have been out of work for almost 6 months now but I don't expect my previous employer or any employer to give me work or keep me in work just because I have been there for a long period of time. As th saying goes is a cruel world but we as a club need to move forward and stop looking back. History is great but it is yesterdays achievement we need to be aspiring for tomorrow's target.
No mate, I can't, not at all. Which is partly why I think it's a risk. IF he hits the ground running then what is an as an uninspiring appointment would be swiftly forgotten. My worry is that he might not, given the fact we have a squad full of slow, defensive, inept players who can't pass a ball 5 yards. That being said you never know. Can only work with what you've got but maybe some small changes like having diamond and Embleton involved more, and perhaps moving onien into midfield (if he isn't knackered off yesterday) and giving Sanderson a start and we might see some green shoots of recovery just by having a bit more mobility in the side. We won't turn into a good side mind, but at least I'd be happy to see a manager try and get us on the front foot and have a bit more of an energetic side. We might do a bit better than we have been, and then it's over to the owners in January.
it's only midday ffs and so far today we've had two seperate ITK sources say that there will be big announcements today. What on earth are people expecting?
So you think our new manager is going to get us playing like Barcelona to get us promoted, I’d give your head a massive shake to get the saw dust out.
Pearson. Not my first choice but I deem My first choices unsuitable for the thieves ruining the club, nor will they probably come due to the current incompetence.
I believe any manager who comes in and gives the youngans a chance will be accepted and given time even if things don’t click straight away.
**** me. Scratch my idea of mobility in midfield then. And I'm on my way to get an injection in my ****ing arse, I seriously hope those suggesting there's news to come today are right and that it's good, because today has been **** thus far!
It's what happens on the pitch that counts. If a new manager, whoever he is, gets the squad fit,in the right mindset, playing to a system that suits their strengths and they produce attacking, winning football, and promotion, the fans will buy into it. Ultimately, that's what we all want to see,and we need to see it soon! My concern here is that I also want to see stability and continuity....something we haven't had for a long time,if ever. I don't really want to see someone come in who can do a job and get us out of this league, only to be jettisoned after failing in the Championship, with all the upheavel that will entail. We've had enough of that to last us all our lifetimes. Maybe a good, long term DoF can provide the stability and work with a change in managers, keeping a continuity, but he will need to be someone who can establish an ethos and a culture,as well as ensuring we're playing good football, from the Academy to the first team,to enable us to attract more than just pay-day players, and who can take us back to the PL,even though that may take several seasons to achieve. I'm a bit worried about all this at the minute.
