If interviewing candidates of this calibre is the extent of our ambitions ,we should all be very worried.

People on here are unbelievable. Yesterday when we thought poyet was coming everyone was saying how good he is, great style of football etc, cup finals and great escape. Now that he’s not coming people have now convinced themselves that actually he isn’t that good , lost the plot in the end and will spit his dummy out again and all of a sudden Cowley is now being talked about like he’s the new Alex Ferguson!!

To be fair mate you've just contradicted your last post before this one in stating if Cowley is that good why hasn't another Championship or Premier League club gone for him. Same could be said of Pearson...

Messaged a mate of mine yesterday with the Poyet news. He immediately messaged back to say he'd stuck £100 on at 4/6 FFS

I talked myself out of putting £50 on when it was 2/5. Glad I did now.

I came within a single click of doing so on SkyBet early yesterday. But I'm not a betting man and I got stung years ago putting a bet on a manager who was a 'cert' to join us and my better judgement kicked in.

Poyet still only 6/4 2nd fav after Cowley 5/6 fav on Skybet after Downie's news yesterday...would have thought he'd be double figures after that

May still be a chance of the Gus bus starting up again.

Think you'll find that's quite normal, it's also different people, there was a few who didn't want him before he'd been appointed, then there's some who wouldn't pick him but we're happy with a manager of his pedigree would come to us.

Click your profile then under preferences and alerts one of the ticked boxes will say 'receive an Email when a reply is made' or something along those lines, just untick it.

You’re just being a bed wetter mate. You’re writing off Cowley for no reason whatsoever other than “ooh Pearson and Big Sam are bigger names let’s get them”.

People have posted plenty of evidence, arguments, articles and videos about why the Cowley’s might be decent managers here and have been at the other places they’ve been. Yet you’re writing them off because apparently Lincoln and Huddersfield come with no pressure? I’m sure they do btw and it’s a bit arrogant to think other teams have no pressure.

People just have legitimate arguments saying that Poyet hasn’t managed in a while, and hasn’t been an absolute success at a lot places. I’m sure both Cowley and Poyet would have their own merits here.

Wasn’t too bothered about Poyet tbh. Loved the Miracle but not the cricket scores towards the end.

He liked Borini, Ki and Alonso, we have Wyke, Grigg and Dobson.

Apart from warm fuzzy nostalgia I don’t see what he would’ve done for us on a 3 and a half year contract.

One thing for sure is the Chuckle Brothers are still in charge. Classic Stew winding up the fans then everything collapses half arsed. Why sack Parky without a nailed on replacement?

If you're watching it, it should instead say 'unwatch'. Click that and then confirm it. If you're not watching it, it'll say 'watch'.
