You'd think, on the big assumption that the people in charge know what they're doing, that we'd have been deciding on the next manager for the last few weeks and we have a clear list of 4-5 targets. Time to simply choose number 2.

That assumption depends on who is in charge.

The Poyet news suggested it’s the new people. But now we’re seeing people saying Rodwell has decided on Cowley.

What I’m trying to say is if it’s the new people making this decision, I’d assume they have a list of targets and would want a statement appointment to drag to club off its feet. If it’s Rodwell, he’ll be looking through a list of whoever is cheap and unemployed.

This must, must, be the correct choice. It is a huge appointment.

The trust thing is what we are all struggling with, given what the current chancers have put us through over the last couple of years. Lies, half truths and bollocks! Hopefully, the dawn of a new era, without the populism. I want us to be professional,at all levels of the club. Something, that has been sadly lacking.

What I'm told is interviews have been ongoing, Poyet was pushed by by Sartori but certain people interviewed particularly well and fit the model of the club moving forward. Johnson was one name given to me that was interviewed and Cowley another. Cowley apparently was the one that stood out and scored most by the panel which included Rodwell. This wasn't about a personal preference and all to do with interview ability.

I dont know who else was on panel but hoping DOF played a part!

I can take criticism, often do, and can debate with people who aren't sly and insulting in the way you are.

Since you came over from RTG you've managed, in less than 70 posts, to criticise this board and people on it and criticise RTG and people on it.

You've had various pops at me and called me weird, as well as claiming the people I talk to are liars.

When it was found Poyet had turned the job down your first reactions we're to laugh at Prehab and come looking for me.

That's the kind of worm you are, more concerned with other posters than the club you claim to support.

Yes I look down at you, and talk down to you, because your attitude stinks.

The likes of you, with your sad inferiority complex, think no one notices how snide you are but it stands out a mile.

Now perhaps you might stop following me around and concentrate on the club you claim to support.

There are plenty of other people to talk to.

If Cowely walks through the door, it puts the ambition of any Takeover under question. He’d obviously be a SD budget option.

The ambition will be best displayed by the implemented structure, revamp of the club behind the scenes and how well, whoever he is, the new manager is backed.

Why? Louis-Dreyfuss knows his football and the Cowleys are really well respected. Barcelona don't appoint managers for what they've done elsewhere, they appoint managers who will fit the club structure. If Cowley is appointed I would imagine it will be on this basis.

I thought Cowley was really well thought of?

I need to leave Australia. I'm finding all of this too hard to keep up with.

I’ve given up trying to predict who would/wouldn’t be a good appointment for the club.

also damaged by previous shoddy ownership and now a lack of trust in anyone at the club to get it right.

I’m at the point where I don’t care who is in charge as long as they do the business.

Woah just caught up with the bed wetting overnight. Now I’ve had chance to sleep on it this is where my head is at, in no particular order:

    • parkinson is gone and takeover is happening, if I’d been offered this on Sunday morning I’d be delighted
    • Poyet wasn’t my first choice anyway. I had got firmly on the #GusBus but if we hadn’t had the crazy day yesterday and he’d just been ruled out without any hype I’d barely have shrugged my shoulders
    • You’d like to think they had a plan b lined up and that that plan had been put into action immediately yesterday and may have already been signed / agreed as of last night
    • There’s really no indication yet that it’s Cowley
    • If it is Cowley, it doesn’t mean that CM and SD are calling the shots. Sartori suggested his man who got asked to interview with all the others and was first choice. Rodwell was always going to be involved in the decision, he’s the CEO. But being involved doesn’t mean he’s the only or loudest or most powerful voice in that decision
    • So if Cowley wins the race to be option B, then that doesn’t mean the old regime have won the battle. For all we know the sporting director and Sartori and KLD also interviewed him and thought he was **** hot
    • If it is Cowley, I really hope people give him a chance. I see people already referring to him as the PE teacher which is going to become as tedious as quick as Jurassic did. We really need to come together and get behind him
    • That said, I hope it’s not him, and that it’s Cook or Pearson. I want it to be somebody everyone is behind. But if it is, I’ll be firmly on the #CowleyCoach
