it's like an episode of 'Game of Thrones' at the minute marra...apparently so many have applied/thrown their names in the hat (37 i heard) for the job it is like a poison chalice the managers chair atm.

i do agree with guiness though, right now this club HAS to make a statement with the man they get in, and most of the names being bandied about right now (no disrespect to them) are hardly going to set the SoL alight.

It might have been completely innocent, but right when all the ITKs were saying it was done, the club had this tweet coming out with "back" highlighted twice, which to many seemed like a teaser so they could then do another "back" tweet about poyet, it was just a couple of hours before everything suddenly seemed to change

Like following a ****ing soap opera this lot

Yeah we need to start trying to punch at the weightclass we think we deserve to be at.

Not the weightclass we find ourselves in.

They need to sort their ****ing content creation out.

That is a disgrace. It's a massive blunder.

Also, that music... just brings back Methven's idiocy as seen on STID. Didn't he say he wanted the SoL to feel like Ibiza?

I worry his idiotic vision is still being actioned.

If anyone at the club is reading. You need a new creative department.

I think this was wide of the mark. I checked with a family member of a 1st team player yesterday at the same time this was being posted to try and get some confirmation, and they had no idea about who it might be at that point. The reply was that their best bet was on Pearson, but I don't think that was based on anything, so I wouldn't lump on just yet. Will post more if can get it.

God only knows what actually happened today, but to be totally honest I won’t be too upset if it’s not Poyet.

Good manager and some very good memories, and we definitely need a statement manager, which he would be. But I just don’t think you can ever really “go back” with managers and have it work out.

I’ll take Stefan Schwarz as DoF mind you.

Tell you ****ing what. I would never have anything to do with Poyet again if it's true that he doesn't feel like a drop to league one.

He played his part in us losing our place in the premier league. We were awful under him.

Says he'd like to come back but not in league 1. That's not glamorous enough. Too much like hard work Diego.

So he'd effectively like to come to the club, once the toil is done in getting back to the top.

So he can do what? Contribute to another slide?

This is all hypothetical. But I have no time for him whatsoever. I hope he stops talking about the club. He said he'd like a return, he was offered the chance to put his money where his mouth is. He hasn't.

    **** off Diego.

Again, hypothetical, but having caught up I'm pretty raging.

  13. I'm struggling to understand all this. When Parky was fired on Sunday, the logical assumption was that this was the work of the new owners, who would have acted in readiness for a replacement coming in,which is how it seemed as though it was playing out yesterday. So, why would they take that action without having someone else lined up ready to join? They must have had an agreement with someone....maybe Poyet, maybe not....and they surely must have had a signature on a contract, not just a word of mouth? Anything else would be blisteringly naive?

  17. So,did they sack Parky without having Gus' signature on a deal?

Obviously as he would be here now. Think everyone expected Gus to sign the deal. He didn't.

I don't believe the excuse that was rolled out. For a guy who is not working and many top quality managers out there looking for work, he apparently says he doesn't want to drop to league 1 at this stage in his career.... What career, you're out of work mate..doesn't make sense
