The ones who make money when people bet on things that aren't going to happen? Not a great indicator.

Must think long term unemployed looks better on his CV than being Sunderland Manager.

Assuming the take over is still on, the potential this club has is ridiculous. If Gus doesn't want to be part of that so be it. If the Cowleys get offered the job and accept I will back them all the way. I dont know loads about them but they were used to being part of a successful team.

However this all works today shows just how little it takes for Sunderland supporters to rise up and get behind the club ...

... we should be proud of ourselves.

The new guys had the plan to try bring Poyet back which would have been a go up for us in mid l1 table, but unfortunately looks like he won't work withba sporting director as wanted full control.

Bit if rumours are true and were looking at other clubs as a bigger plan football wise maybe the sporting director will have a bigger pic to play with and needs a coach to run this team and play ball to the ling term aim.

Move on, they will and sure they'll pick someone who's just as big and have the long term aim as they have and we will be all good

Let's get tonight out the way, hopefully another update soon regarding the takeover or manager who knows in the next day or 2 and get back to being united instead of picking on each other, KTF lads @Prehab26 @Magnus @Wheatsheaf @Smug in Boots any more updates keep them coming, any word on changes to companies house that was suggested yesterday maybe

I've said to friends that I wasn't 100% happy with GP but when reading on here that deal was agreed I had started to get myself excited especially with the Stefan Schwarz link and then it's reported he's turned us down.

GP had previously said he felt he had unfinished business at the club, he knew we were in League 1 but now he thinks he's above us, well do one GP, we will move on, if you think you're likely to get another chance at a football club with this much potential then you're deluded.

Let's fully get behind the next manager whoever it it is and show GP what he's missed out on.

So just watched Storey on Look North. Gus wouldn't come to Sunderland cos we're in league 1 but he's got 5 premier players just waiting for him to take over! :emoticon-0114-dull:

They certainly have that thrown at them by some of the Huddersfield lot. Had a read of a few of their threads as I didn't know much about them and plenty happy they kept them up but plenty saying the football was ****. Personally I find the thought of them being appointed just being the cheap option that Don would take but if it is them, they'll get my backing but my enthusiasm will be distinctly lacking. Poyet to Cowley man. **** it, I'm off to rewatch Mando.
