    Not sure if were all getting carried away with this sporting director as an absolute necessity mind. You can still have a manager sign his own players it just means when the manager moves on, We have someone in the same mould to come in.

    Unfortunatley an SD doesnt win you games of football and i think weve made a mistake in not allowing Poyet to stamp his authority on the club, more so if its in favour of someone lile Cowley who is basically accepting it on any terms.

    When I last looked Poyet was a cert and now anything but.

    But if he doesn't fancy it, I don't fancy him. Can't say he was my first choice as though he was pretty good here in parts, he did appear to give up twice.

    We'll see. But we are in the third tier with a horrendous recent history. We wont get who we want probably, but we should be doing what we want if we are setting a new course.

    Paul Cook was my pick. But whoever it is it needs to sorted sharpish. And if it's the idea of not working under a DOF is something that bothers Poyet, then good luck to him in finding a job at the level he feels he should be working.
