Seems most on here want Poyet but for me , I would prefer new blood who has no ties with the past.. if I recall Poyet wanted out and didn't show too much love for the cause last time round, and if he has backed out then that just proves to me he isn't the right choice in terms of full commitment.
If Stendel is in the mix then he immediately becomes my favoured choice. Did terrifically with Barnsley. Seems a very passionate guy as well. Would fit in here.
I feel like my first girlfriend has just ripped my heart out but as someone has said if he has backed out for the reason that has been said then he was not the person for the job. I don’t want cook or the Cowleys and it looks like my only other hope (Pearson) is not even in the running then I hope Stendal has threw his hat in the ring.
They like centre backs who can play out from the back and to build attacks down the wings. Sometimes they play two defensive midfielders who will pick it up from the centre backs and, yes, play it direct. Ultimately though, they'll work with what they've got available. At Lincoln, they had Matt Rhead, one of the best target men at that level. At one time he was literally unplayable and is still great in the air (as you'll have seen if you watched Canvey Island v Borehamwood last night). So it made sense for them to play it up to him. At Huddersfield though, they began to move away from that approach. Read the article that @Agent Black Cat posted earlier and I re-posted just now.
Last week I’d of been all for cowley if I’m honest. Now after this though every name mentioned apart from Pearson or maybe stendel is a right let down
Poyet had agreed to a 3 year deal but sign then has decided he isn't keen, he was unsure about it anyway with us being in league one but his main issue was the Director of football, he doesn't want to work under one in any capacity, with the new owners absolutely insisting on one we are left with 2 options, we either rip up our plans to get 1 manager or we stay the course with our strategy and find a manager that will suit us long term.
Cook did good at Wigan finished 13th in championship with little money until chairmen but them in admin to relegate them
Doesn’t matter who comes in now, will be a major disappointment no one will have the affect poyet would have had
