Don't mention the name Ehab Allam to Alex Bruce...

Common courtesy, politeness and an occasional dash of humanity and class in your dealings with other people costs nothing. One would have thought an accountant would have realised that. It helps avoids the accusation that you are an obnoxious, stuck up privileged twat.

Agreed, if a 5 minute phone call can stop a bit of bad PR (both at the time and now) then I would have thought that it was worth it.

Totally agree, five minutes of your day - it's not rocket science.

Any other name and you would have thought the story was far fetched. What other super-rich businessman would you see behaving in such a manner? You'd never see Sir Philip Green treating his staff this way.

If you read "The Prince" by Nicolo Machiavelli, its all about being the biggest, baddest, untrustworthy bastard on the planet whilst appearing to be an honest, honorable, trustworthy, charitable soul of good character. It also points out the disadvantages of being perceived as a complete ****. I suggest Ehab reads it, he may learn something (or maybe not).

Depends on the type of chip.

Goes alright with fries. Thick cut? Shocking.

Needs to be proper cheese too, most places use that plastic bollocks.

Might be bit of a shocker... I don't like cheese... Not even Wensley Dale..

Tolerate it hot on food, and the one in Tiramasu, Buffalo(or pretend)Mozzarella and Halumi, basically anything that doesn't taste like cheese :)
so cheezy chips = vomit based cholesterol hell on chips
