Two very important home games coming up for differing reasons. But if we could only take 3 points from one of them which would you rather choose?

The answer would seem obvious at first but given the bigger picture of the league positions would you rather dig Blackburn deeper in trouble?

I know what you mean but a win over Chelsea would be talked about for years.

Help bury Blackburn now. Beat Chelsea at the Bridge late in the season when we're safe....

I know and i've dreamt about it but getting Blackburn out the way would be one step closer to staying in the premiership

Its gotta be Blackburn - this season, all we are concerned about is survival, bragging rights over our neighbors went oot the window on Sunday! In seasons to come, once we are established as a PL side, then we can worry about the local rivalry, but until then every point counts, and as Blackburn is potentially a six pointer, it has got to be worth more to the club than stuffing the blue scum (wouldn't say no to winning both games though!!!!).

That is a very good question Stan,
in fact, a very very good and thought provoking question.
I like it, i'm going to have to take a rain-cheque on this one.
    I'll get back to you.

Only on this Forum would we be talking about beating Chelsea after getting slaughtered 6-0 by Fulham!

The idea was not to predict we'll beat them Swords!!

Put it another way, if a fairy Godmother gave you a wish of three points against either which would you take?

If I'm restricted to only 3, I guess it would have to be Blackburn - you know 6 point game and all; but, my goodness - 3 points from Chelski - I would talk about it for years! And it would get me some cred back around the office here - I heard rather a lot about my lads after Sunday's debacle (mostly from the expats that I work with)

Looking at the Blackpool results last season,
the only top team they beat was Liverpool away 2-1.
But they also lost away to Wolves,
if ( my calculations are correct! )
these result had been reversed, Blackpool would of stayed up.
    Wolves would have been relegated.

So therefore, I would let my head rule my heart and go for 3 points v Blackburn.

after I answer this I think I'll shoot myself but... Blackburn ( siggghhhh)
it's almost like a 6 pointer plus the added confidence going into the Chelsea match would be unmeasurable.

Normally I would not hesitate to say that small team in Foolham starting with C..but I want a 1-0 9or 2 or 3 nil) win aganst Blackburn, with Mackie scoring all our goals. Sweet revenge for the injury he suffered the last time we played themm
