This is how I remember Bruce as well. I'd go as far as to say he got less slack from the crowd than a lot of other managers. Barring the Wigan home game when the crowd turned, he got nowhere near the abuse he liked to bleat in the press about, and try to rewrite (and blame the fans for) his own failings.
Ouch, apparently he'd torn his hamstring clean off.... "Austria-Sweden: Schwarz injured - misses the European Championships. Football. 1-1 on a lousy level. The Sunderland professional tore off his hamstring. Fredrik Ljungberg and Patrik Andersson were also injured"
We have to be ready for this. The smarmy media are going to be upset we aren't appointing the regular League 1 plodder. Bear in mind most of this lot told us Parky was a good choice.
Don’t know how true it is but the rumour the other day was Poyet has already had meetings with Schwartz
Really sorry to bring RTG into this but, an hour after Magnus posted that it's Poyet, 3.5 year deal ... ... Vauxie has just responded to someone and said 'So I hear' as if he was already ITK. I shouldn't laugh but ffs.
Brings me to my favourite joke. Why do Swedish, Norwegian and Danish boats all have barcodes on the side?
Nick Barnes mentioned on total sport last night that Ellis Short and and Gus' relationship broke down because he wanted to bring in better players that Ellis refused to release the funds for. Benega was going to cost a canny penny.
