... we're playing Burnley tonight and I'm already getting excited.

 

I'm very much hoping that with the plan we might have in place ,and the resources to fund it,there won't be anywhere bigger for him to move to....at least not until we've won a significant trophy. Gonna take a while,mind! The long term,steady as we go is the approach we need. And we,as fans,must remember that there will be little setbacks along the way,the graph of progress isn't going to be a straight upward line. Patience will be required at times. We'll all need to buy into the new owners philosophy to make this work. Let's hope we get to hear what that is soon.

 

Thought we were playing Burton.

 

He's still favourite so hopefully we get news by the end of the week on both takeover and new manager.

How would that work with work permits?

 

I don’t know much about Cook but I don’t think he’d give us the instant excitement that I think this appointment needs. People have become apathetic and in my view we need an appointment on the scale of the Roy Keane one in terms of galvanising the club. Wether or not anyone on our radar would be universally popular though is a doubt.

 

I think Smug is pulling a little prank, relating to the post which stated that some posters still think we're in the Premier League

 

I know for a fact who it was but realise the question isn't for me. If you just want to know who it was I'll happily say. If for whatever reason you want confirmation from Gareth then I'll stand aside.

Apparently during the Falklands when the troops got leave they went to Uruguay and shagged themselves silly. (well at least that's how we could justify it)

I guess we've had worse recruitment strategies over the past few years.

 

I can certainly see that point of view. I suppose to some extent people's opinions on what's exciting and what's not will vary but it giving everyone a bit of a lift would be a positive move by the new owners.

 

Think he was in The Championship 5 years with them finishing 6th, 4th and 3rd in three of those years. He did finish 20th in his 4th year in that league so wouldn't have finished 3rd the next if he was here mind as we would've sacked him.

 

And the government will never dispute it to uphold the reputation of the armed forces. It's a winner i tell ya

 

No rules have been set yet for work permits as yet I don't think as the Premier League keep kicking off with the FA/League with the plans they have proposed
