Now that the Calder's Yard site has planning permission for housing, there are no vacant sites remaining in the city centre large enough for a new stadium. Therefore there appear to be only two options for a 60,000+ capacity stadium in the future - an expansion of the current stadium (complex and expensive) or a shiny new out of town structure - and I'm sure not many supporters would ccountenance the latter.
