Minor downside to the hot weather is the stuffy nights. Got semi bladdered with the two fat ladies last night and have got a bit of a thick head at work this morning and feel like nodding off. Sat here baby sitting sub contractors when I could be watching egg chasing them sauntering off to the beach, not good on a Saturday morning.
I can also hardly move given the full hit I just troughed.

Oweners direct you say, sounds familiar so it's a starting point.

just seen your message, yep Foo was right its owners direct. I've used them twice, my sis in law tons of times, fully reccomend them, if you do book for next year, book your flights on line straight away you'll save £100's, same with transfers.

    where you off?

if you go to mallorca, i've kept all details so it would save you loads of time and money, especially on the transfers, some quotes I had were ridiculous. the one i used was brilliant and cheaper than a taxi/mini-bus back home for the same distance.

We've booked a holiday in ibiza for next year through thompson, only used them because it will be just the 2 of us and i got a really good deal, that leaves me spare dosh to do what we want to whilst we're there seeing as I'll be celebrating my 50th there! .... far too pretty to be half a century! - sounds more like a batsman's score!

Off to Marbella for a wedding of our friends next June. We were just going to book a package but I priced it and though **** that I'll go independant.

For some reason she's dragging here heels on when to book, I've told her it'll cost us hundreds if we procrastinate but she comes from a family of procrastinators! I don't.
I might just book our flights and not tell her, got to get in touch with Easyjet though to see if I can book unborn baby and then add details after its born.

yeah I'd book as early as you can, you'll save hundreds, beauty of the owners direct though is getting that private villa or apartment, have breakie around your own pool, lying on the beds when YOU want to, partying around the pool in the small hours etc ..... damn why did I book that package for next year?

oh (you'll not need me to taech you to suck eggs) but the longer you leave the flights the more expensive they'll be, and Im pretty sure babies go free, don't they seat then with an adult?

    Evening.

Mate, didn't get round to replying on FB, had a busy as **** weekend and well, just didn't. I only actually caught City then United on MOTD then bailed out, ****ed. Have since seen the furore and it's not old Ken that grinds me but that **** of a Uruguayan. Funny how his world cup antics were swept under the carpet but now the piece of **** has shown his true colours. They'll have some ****ing excuse for him though no doubt. Goofy ****.

I see Capello has resorted by to his good old contradictory self in his "I will only pick fit and in form players for England"

Two words for you Eytie - Andy Carroll. His is neither. Let alone form and fitness, he's ****.

    Two more - Daniel Sturridge.

And here's a few more - go and get ****ed you Italian ****.

How's college treating you? Any good?

    Ha ha, nice!

Yeah it's going ok mate. Rather too many annoying teenagers for my liking but I suppose it goes with the territory. I just wanna work, but there are some who are only there for the piss up, which I suppose is fair enough - 1st time away from home and all that. I'm sure I wasn't as ****ing numb as most of them at their age though - most of these dumb twats wouldn't have been near a 6th form, let alone university when I was at school. Changing times though.

It's the attitude of these scouse ****ers that get to me though Tags. He's a decent player (and a massive ****), but it's the old Gerrard thing - best player in the world after some half decent showings. Just **** off you rat eating, sister raping inbred, one eyed, narrow minded ****s!

Yes, Capello. Another **** of the highest order.

Oh by the way, my sister is on come dine with me this Friday Channel 4, 8pm.

She's even mentioned in the tv guides. ****ing hell, she's more famous than me now... :)

    I have just the thing.
It's seriously easy and ****ing amazingly tasty. Don't be slap dash with it though as if you're off with some of the ingredients it doesn't quite work.

    Follow this;

    CHICKEN TARRAGON
2 or 4 chicken breasts, diced.
2 cloves of garlic, crushed or finely chopped.
3 or 4 tablespoons of Tarragon
1 Large glass of dry white wine.
    500g of spinach.
2 tablespoons crème fraiche or cream.
    Tablespoon of Olive Oil
    Salt and Pepper.
    Tagliatelle
    Juice of a Lemon.

Heat oil in pan and brown off diced chicken.
Take chicken out and keep warm, add garlic and soften.

Add wine and bring to the boil, add tarragon then add crème friache, return the chicken and simmer. Season to taste.

Cook Pasta in large pan of salted water. When three minutes to go add spinach and continue to cook. The water from the pasta can be used to loosen the sauce if it’s too thick.

Toss cooked pasta and spinach into sauce, squeeze the juice of the lemon and serve immediately with some garlic bread.

Nice bottle of dry Italian white will go perfectly with this. Soave or Frascati perhaps or Pinot Grigio.

    * just saw the no carbs thing. You could use brown pasta but it tastes like ****. I say **** her, give her some nice pasta carbs*

Use Philadelphia instead? I guess that would work.

Give me half an hour though, does it have to be chicken?

    Make a chilli. Simple and is delish;

    CHILLI

    500(ish)g of lean mince beef
    1 medium onion, chopped.
4 cloves of garlic, crushed or finely chopped.
    1 tin of tomatoes.
    1 stick of cinamon
1 tin of kidney beans (in chilli sauce if poss.)
1 glass of red wine (optional).
    1 RED pepper (optional).
    1 teaspoon cumin.
    1 teaspoon coriander.
1 teaspoon paprika (sweet and smoked if poss.).
    1 teaspoon of chilli powder.
    1 tablespoon of tomato puree.
1 tablespoon of tomato ketchup (for sweetness).
Dried red chilli’s to personal taste.
3 chopped green chilli’s for colour and crunch (optional).
    Tablespoon of Olive Oil.
Tablespoon of fresh oregano or dried mixed herbs as alternative.

Heat oil in chef’s pan or wok and fry onion and garlic gently till soft, careful not to burn.
Add mince and fry till brown then add wine and cook down. Add to this the tin of tomatoes and tin of chilli beans with half a tin of water from each and bring to the boil and then turn down to simmer. Add spices and stir in. Add tomato ketchup and puree (and chopped pepper) then season with salt and pepper, add herbs, the snapped cinamon stick and allow to simmer for half an hour at least, preferably even more. At this point also add amount of chilli’s according to heat wanted.

Serve with rice and grated hard cheese on top.

Suggest you find a bird that isn't so ****ing fussy <ok>

Seriously, with low fat no carb you're basically looking at grilled chicken, grilled vegetables, grilled everything. Recommend you just get a George Foreman grill and throw everything in it.

Alternatively, a Tuscan chicken stew can tick the boxes as long as she doesn't consider cannelini beans as high carb (and you can control your flatulence...). I've made one similar to this one before - I used chicken breasts and it worked fine, just make sure you get some pretty thick stewed / canned tomatoes (or add some puree) otherwise you'll be reducing it for hours...

Or you could go to Tesco and buy their meal for 2 for 10 quid, including a 10 quid bottle of wine. Voila. Their chicken kiev is bloody tremendous. As long as you both eat it you'll be reet!

More of an M&S or Waitrose bloke myself Foo but that's because I'm a proper snobby ****.
As it goes when I was on the Pinot Noir the other week the bottle was part of the M&S £10meal for two, worth the tenner alone!

I'm off to London on Friday with a combo of hope and a heavy heart. Got an interview with Laing O Rourke and I got lucky to not be interviewed in Dartmouth, where they are unfortunately based, but right behind St Pancras station which in my dweeby Civil Engineer mode I'll be creaming my pants about. Just absolutely gutted I'll not be able to dring some Veuve in the champagne bar then jump on eurostar to Paris. Have you seen the inside of that station? I'm telling you, ****ing awesome. Not awesome in a Ji Sung Park scored an ok goal type way but awesome in a ****ing awesome type way.

I keep saying I'll take the wife but then she keeps reminding me that she's preganant and we've already got two kids. It's an ambition, one that I'm sussing out won't happen till I'm too old to fully apreciate it.

    Good luck mate..

Evening foo.. Have you accidentally fingered any birds on your course yet?

Think I may have decided on steak.. Though I may do a chilli.. Already make a good chilli, though don't put cumin in mine.. May give it a whirl.. I also put the spices in with the onions I find it's better as it cooks them out rather than putting them into the liquid post tomato.. It's less bitter that way..

I actually put my spices in with the meat, after the wine has reduced. It infuses then right into the mince. I did that receipe for my bro in law and couldn't be arsed to explain that bit.
It's better still if you have cumin and coriander seeds and crush them yourself in a pestle and mortar first, the other way is the lazy bastard way.

Tell you what, try mine out and then let me know what you think. I only started adding the cinamon stick recently but it gives great flavour. I've got oregano in my garden and if I've got some in bloom it's the only herb I use. The red pepper adds sweetness, a green one won't. The table spoon of tommy K is essential for that too but not too much.

Best if cooked the night before really.
