Trees, trees, they're just shrubs man They might be small but they are perfectly formed, or was that something my wife said
Okay mate, but I think he got lucky. Altidore wanted out, as it wasn't happening here for him, and Defoe was looking for a move back home. Fair play to him for doing that deal, but he was too autocratic to be a successful DOF. When Advocaat came back, I really thought we'd cracked it. His track record was better than any of his predecessors, but he wasn't allowed to build his team, because Congerton thought that he knew better.
Just been looking on Twitter and there's still some real negativity on there about this whole takeover and manager change on there. Apart from a little bickering about who'd be a good choice (maybe my fault), everyone on here seems pleased. Are we all missing something?
Is a fit and keen to impress McGeady the missing piece until the window opens at least? Not sure he will make the difference myself but if his head is right and hes trying hard hes surely better in the team than out of it.
What are the rules with being able to play McGeady. I thought he wasn't registered for the 1st team to help us meet the salary cap. Is it as simple as registering him, and he can play 1st team matches?
Yep.....Ive decided im all for this now bringing Poyet back (him or Pearson and im going for Poyet), they must have the jump leads on the Gus Bus as we speak
One thing more than anything else that we are going to need over the next 5 years is patience. We are not going to jump from the players that we have now to a quality team overnight unless the new owners are thinking of getting rid of 90% of our current squad.
I was only joking really. Defoe was a good deal though. I thought Advocaat would be great too. I thought Lens and maybe Toivonen were probably Advocaat's choices but could be wrong. You're clearly more clued up on Congerton's deals than me. Seems clear that a lot of signings during his time weren't great though.
He's got a point to prove now so well worth chucking him in, I'd say. How long that will last is another thing entirely.
We are all Sunderland fans on here, and want what's best for the club. Some of these Internet keyboard warriors on twitter are probably either disgruntled fans who've had enough anyway, or are fans of other clubs, masquerading as Sunderland Fans.
If I didn't know better what with this and your poyet in capitals post earlier I'd think you were trying to tell us something
