I mean, as I’ve said they aren’t my first choice, but are we just overlooking the fact they took Lincoln into the league, and straight up to League One, and did a solid job of keeping Huddersfield in the Championship when they were falling apart after inevitable relegation? They went beyond ‘non league lads’ before Huddersfield. Huddersfield simply returned to their natural level, as is clear by this season. They made the wrong move, they should have done better than Huddersfield at the time. It’s a **** club.
I said if we're about to be taken over by wealthy owners with a plan and vision, go and try to sell that vision to Eddie Howe. I also said don't be surprised if we end up with a french second division young manager no ones heard of, in a good way like
Fair enough. I think its small time thinking to appoint someone from the usual managerial merry-go-round. As for your other remark, I think it was equally unnecessary for you to try and belittle my opinion just because you didn't agree with it.
I believe whomever it is that comes in as our new manager, (after the takeover imo), some won't want or like it, but Mcgeady will be straight back in the first team
-i wish you lot would stop getting my expectations up. Back in the sixties Sunderland were looking for a new manager. I was in a pub opposite Leslie’s yard in hebburn. The atmosphere was bubbling with different managers names being bandied about. I suggested Clough, who was doing well at pools, but I was shouted down because he didn’t have enough experience. Then the 1 o’clock news announced that Sunderland had appointed their new manager. Silence, anticipation, eager looks on faces. Then the announcement: Alan Brown, for his second time at the club. If you’ve ever watched a balloon deflate, that was that bar. It was like stepping from a wedding celebration into a funeral! I’d hate for that to happen this time. Just saying!
Yet Huddersfield were the only club to offer them the chance, no-one else has, despite all the non-league success they've had. They got the bulet in July last year and still no-one has approached them. Sorry like but that doesn't scream out to me wonderful coaches by any stretch. It suggests they're very good at the level they've performed at but no-one thinks they'll do it higher up.
I personally would be happy with Gus. I also would be fine with Cowley. O shea or SKP would sit well also. I don't want has beens like Hughes MON or even BSA
Splendid. Thanks for absolutely nothing Pip. You were an absolute shambles whilst here and so were your team. Glad you won’t ever darken our door again.
I would agree but as the team grew in confidence the football got better Sorry I did not explain it better in my first response
for me there’s bound to be some sort of news story tomorrow. Journos will be rushing to get bits they have out now that they can see it’s reaching end game
