Get this appointment right and we can get promoted. Our last 3 league games should have yielded 7 extra points imo. We'd be joint top, lots of ifs and buts...this team is better than it is showing without a doubt.

I would imagine it plays a big part in it.

 

My one worry with Poyet coming back, is how long would it take our players to adapt to his style? Some of the squad no doubt are playing league one, because they don't have as good a footballing brain as players in higher leagues.

 

I have happy memories of Bruce, pdc, O’Neill, big Sam, keano and gus but hardly any since England swiped Sam, it’s been downhill from there, was nice to take my kids to wembley but the scum pompey fans and jack ross spoilt that

I think they all knew this outcome about 2 weeks or so ago. The mood just seemed to change and Parkys interviews after the matches were bizarre. The players are better than the last few games' results would suggest imo, they knew it was coming.

My only concern about Pearson is that he might get us out of this league but the championship I’m not sure and then you are looking at another change. An appointment needs to be with a long term view of getting us promoted twice and then have the experience to cope at the top level. I know that is well down the line but surely that has to be the aim.

 

Would be interesting to know because it could be quite telling in terms of where we are
