Don't agree with this because it's the reason it wa brought in. We need var, we need var was the cries
I stressed "clear daylight" ... not clear then not offside ... I'd go with anything that got rid of the need for zooming in tbf
No mate ... but Vardy is Vardy ... he's been overcoming disadvantages most of his career ... he's a nasty little **** ... but he's our lethal nasty little ****
Clear daylight is offside in my opinion. Clear daylight would say the guy is a yard or 2 offside. Subjective
The problem is if they give a degree of error then they still have to be as strict with the lines... People don't seem to understand this
Why do they needs the lines. If it can’t be seen by eye, on a TV screen with “freeze frame” technology, then you have to question whether it’s offside. The overriding rule must always be to avoid any advantage to the attacking team. If your eyes can’t see it without drawing bloody lines then it’s not an advantage!
Every game it was people crying about decisions including offsides. Like I said earlier fans and pundits are emotionally making their decisions on what is and isn't.. The rules are the same for everyone and the close calls people cry either way depending on their emotional decision bias
Welcome to the point. VAR was supposed to take the ambiguity out of these decisions. Not a week that goes by without exactly the same types of comments, only there now being directed towards the technology. So what’s the use of the technology?
When all the whining is over about Var, the pros and cons...I would still want it because regardless of anything else, it’s very important to eradicate cheating. It’s also important to have a defining line between offside and not offside. Just because it has been a rough guess for decades doesn’t mean rough guess is the way forward and the correct decision. The same fans would moan about decisions pre VAR and now they complain about VAR...maybe these fans are the problem
The technology itself is fine ... it merely shows a photographic snapshot ... it's the rules, their interpretation and inconsistent refereeing that causes the never ending debate ...
We know it’s the incompetence of the referees and not the technology Need stronger refs..these refs need discarding like those fans do
Only a few players...correct procedures should isolate them...then you have a squad and you have the age pyramid system at your club so if you running out of players you can turn to your under 21’s...if no joy then U18’s and so on and so forth. Then the transfer window opens...still no joy then you got to look at the owner.
