a new majority shareholder means someone else is making the decisions, which is a positive step.

 

The fact that CM has pissed off the fans is hardly a secret, hence he stepped away from the board this time last year.

To be frank its only because money rules football these days that people are actually interested in who the owners are. Its the players/manger and club structure thats the important thing.

 

To be fair to sartori he hasn’t really been involved the last 2 years, so it’s hard to judge him, the real bit of money we did spend come from him

 

I wouldn't worry about it. Methven's PR company has been quite successful (which is good for someone who doesn't really have that much of a background in it- he did theology at Oxford) so, given some guidance by people with more background in football, he might actually make a positive contribution to the club.

His comments in those text messages, and his previous ones about Sunderland fans knowing nothing about business, are just the actions of a man who feels under pressure lashing out. As he learns more about football, he might feel under less pressure.

 

CM may come across as an arrogant person but when you watch STID and he has the staff all in one room and asks them how much the club was lrunning at a loss it was in the agenda he gave them and not one of them knew. Also having to repeadly ask someone over and over again when it's thier job I'm pretty sure that anyone would start getting pissed off. Like him or not few saying he is why this deals on board then a dont care what he's done really if this investment comes in I really dont care forgive, forget and move on. Football club moves in the right direction nothing else matters.

 

That is true, but Methven, for all he only had 6%, was a director and was helping to run the club.

Will be interested to see the details of what role Methven holds under KLD's ownership.

 

Aye I watched about 2 minutes of one of their videos and had to turn it off. I got the impression that those involved are a bit 'daft' without trying to sound harsh.
