Few recall that he got sent off in the 1982 world cup for attempting to squash a Brazilian players family jewels.
Great player. But like a lot of top sports stars he had a dark side. But let's remember the good bits. Sublime.
That explains why Vinnie Jones was a world class player.

Bit of ESP here I've just seen film of Jones playing for the Blunts scoring a great goal. Sadly for him it was an og.
That season the blunts went the first 16 games without winning but still finished 13th, that must be a record.

Yes that stat has been troubling me this season and has thus far prevented me from enjoying them flatlining at the bottom of the PL.

I still believe the vermin can get dragged down into it too.

Next season all being well we'll be the same division and Derby will be in a division below us.

You may say I'm a dreamer but I'm not the only one.

The difference between Vinnie Jones and Maradona is that Maradona didn't have to practice the handiwork in training.

Just watched the start of Tranmere v whoever on BBC2
A minutes silence for Maradona in an English F A Cup game. .? Seriously. Why. He may have been a cheat and/ or the best player whoever walked the earth but he's not English.

We've gone way to soft. I can't imagine the Argie league taking the knee or having a minutes silence for any English player who punched the ball into the net against them.

It was captured on film that's why it''s triggered the gullible.

The stats are freely available online, for example this year so far 311 whites have been shot dead by police and about half that number of black people (157) have been killed by police firearms.

It's the way they police their country and therefore not our concern.

I'm sure they find our woke police hilarious and bizarre when they dance with eco-prorestors when our capital has been brought to a halt, and no doubt some in this country would be outraged if the septics had a dig at our policing style., And why not? It's our business not theirs.

Now back to Maradona. Timely repeat last night on BBC2 of Lineker meets Maradona filmed in 2006.

Came across as affable, generous, polite, courteous and honest in his view of events.

Which was what I was trying to say
Why choose him? And not all the other foreign players who have no connection with English football (he's never for example played here). His only claim to fame as far as we are concerned is cheating to get us knocked out of the world cup
