Northy you've gone uber-grumpy recently mate. Relax not everyone will have the same opinion and we tolerate both sides of the argument around here don't we? It's a fair point someone questioning warnocks team selections or why we sold gorkss. I can't see the point in falling out about stuff like that. Either way warnock in my opinion is the best manager we've had in 20 years (well I do have a soft spot for de Canio but anyway) and as has been said above we are currently 11th in the prem. That's pretty good going with nearly 20% of the season gone
Lots of people saying warnock can't cut it, none suggesting which footballing messiah is coming to take his place? We need someone with prem experience. Step forward Gary Megson!
yep of course love him ... maybe a bit cocky more recently only hopes he never forgets what players got us this far
I don't think I'm getting grumpy over this, but I do think the man has earned a bit more respect than he sometimes gets on here. Me and AAAAGH are alright don't worry, and he's the grumpy one!
Aaaarrghhs not grumpy hes just opinionated. We could have Alex ferguson as manager and half of us would still moan.
I am not opinionated. I just have a lot to say in my opinion. Seriously though, I don't see the point in contributing to a forum like this unless there is at least a little edge to it. Ferguson - you're having a laugh, wouldn't touch him with a barge pole, divides the dressing room...
It's hard for me to question the tactics or managerial prowess of a man who gave us the best season I've ever experienced. But I still can't help wondering why Gorkks was let go, or at the very least not given a chance in pre-season? Add to that the loaning of Hill (our two best defenders last year) and you have two things most of us armchair managers would view as obvious mistakes. That said, the man has more than earned the right to make a few gaffes this season and deserves his shot at keeping us up.
Probably NW knows better than us that Gorkks and Clint won't cut it in the PL. That is why he brought in Ferdinand, Traore, Gabbidon, Young, Dyer and Perone, and apparently was close to getting the Tottenham CB, who I forget the name of now. So don't know these were mistakes.
Agree with this . Warnock has been fantastic for Rangers but is not beyond mistakes or critisism . People on here seem to be asking valid questions of his management . Agyemang at Wigan was a joke.
Has Warnock got what it takes? So who else would you have appointed 19 months ago? Considering that we were floundering at the arse end of 'The Championship ' when he came on board. Stopped the rot and saved us from going down. Then against all-odds got us promoted as champions. ( Come-on, no one thought we would do that at the begginning of the season, play-offs at best. ) Despite Sundays result, we are still above where we expected to be. There are five or six clubs a lot more worried than us. Leave Warnock alone to do what he does, which is more than we will ever know. I can't think of a better person to have at the moment. We will stay-up, it won't be easy, but Warnock is our man. Trust me.
Wasn't aware of exactly how much they've spent, but wages and signing on fees included, I can't see it being anywhere near our outlay. Lost count of how many exactly we've brought in though, 10+?
I posed a question in the title looking for peoples responses, which is exactly what's happening, no harm in that is there? The positives achieved by this are seeing people discuss it and I find it interesting to read other peoples' views on things. If an online discussion board about QPR isn't the place to bring up questions or state what I perceive to be mistakes by Neil, where is? If you read the original post I wasn't talking about the Fulham game and playing 2 up front there, I was talking about the home games, so thats a moot point. We can agree to disagree that a point against Newcastle at home was a good result. We need to beat these sort of teams at home that are going to be in the bottom half at the seasons conclusion. Again, if this 'public forum' isn't the place to air my views, where is skipper? For the record I don't hate Warnock, I think he did a good job last season but from what I've seen so far this season, I'm not too confident in him. This doesn't mean I want the team to lose or fail.
Bob, I’ve clearly explained already that there is a harm in opinions of this type. We need the keep the feel good factor that newly promoted sides thrive on as long as possible. If this come’s at the expense of you finding it interesting then that’s pretty poor from someone who considers themselves a fan. Also you seem to be side stepping the points you have made I have asked you to justify. Still waiting to hear where you got your concrete facts about Barton “strutting around like he owns the place”? Also while your original post made a reference to playing 2 up front against Newcastle you moved on to criticize Warnock for bringing off Derry when he was “worried about the defence” in the Fulham game. He did this to put two up front so I ask again to explain how Warnock could have gone two up front without bringing off one of Derry, Faurlin or Barton? Remember we were three nil down and as Warnock said himself the first goal after changing the shape is important and it went to them. We can’t win every game and while in an ideal world we would have won against Newcastle and Villa you should realise this is football and results don’t always work out like that through no fault of the manager. To moan about those results is beyond a joke. These are good established sides so your expectations are clearly unrealistic. Again we’re 11th in the league and were forced to play the first few games with a championship team. What position would you expect us to be in at this stage of the season? Of course this is the place to air your views but you keep missing the point. However fans like myself care more about the success of the team then having “interesting” debates that I see as potentially harmful to the club. If you were successful in achieving widespread agreement on this board for your views then I really do feel you are doing a diservice to the club and because of that you should think twice about what you write particularly as you have in my opinion failed to justify your criticism’s.
Sir Neil had no help from the the goons, then had days it which to try and sign as many good players as possible before the transfer deadline came into force after everybody else had a head start on him. Give Warnock a break of course he is good enough
