Good and we’ll done that man for keeping us all going oh and I’m not forgetting the others by the way cheers lads
His tenure didn't finish there though did it? You leave a hero or stick around long enough to become a villain. Keane, Bruce, O'Neil, Di Cannot, Poyet and even allardyce. If they'd left without collapsing, turning inept, into a mad fascist or ****ing corrupt, they'd be a great choice again. But they all soiled their reputation in one way or another. A cup run doesn't excuse the mess it became for me. Ellis Short oversaw that cup run. I wouldn't ****ing have him back either.
What caveat did he put in last time? I was of the understanding that FPP had a change of plan and withdrew.
The deal was all agreed then Donald asked for a further £5m for reaching the Championship and £10m for reaching the PL. Revenge is a dish best served cold ....
Owners that think they can slip these bits into the deal baffle me. I want paying for your success! Only way I would agree with it is if they took 10million less than the club is worth at the point they are selling. Therefore gambling that the club gets to the premiership and they make a bit more than they would have done. Otherwise why would you think you should be rewarded for someone elses hard work and success?
Donald wanted a deal whereby he kept 'running' the club, have FPP 'investing in him' and using their money to make a fortune for himself ... ... they now hold all the cards and he has none.
In what way? (I may have missed something if FPP relevant again). Doesn't he still make his sweet penny if we do well and he sells later? What do FPP have on him post-Dreyfus?
I hope like hell Methven isn’t the source for people’s information like it’s being said. Seen WMS members tweet it and Hawyatt Earp (who appears well connect) post it on RTG.
Get the **** in, I think my trousers twitched there. Its been a terrible year for lots of people, for a lot of reasons, you especially @Prehab26 lets hope this happens in the near future to help lift the gloom. And thank you for keeping us all updated.
They still hold a £9 million pound charge over Madrox, the only thing Madrox owns (in bricks and mortar) is the AOL and the SOL which belong to Sunderland Football Club. The AOL & SOL would become FPPs by default if that loan is defaulted on in payments.....nobody knows the repayment terms. Alternatively they hold the cards as smug says that FPP are required to give consent to anybody who would become Major shareholder of Madrox as they would then become major shareholder of Sunderland hence they would become duty holder of the AOL & SOL. Alternatively again that £9 mill could be paid off by either Donald or any prospective new major shareholder to which point FPP would be gone...but....we don't know what the terms of the loan agreement were? This is the million dollar question hanging over the whole deal and of any change of ownership.....as it stands they are STILL very much invested in the club and have it held to ransom in some ways As nobody knows the repayment terms it has been speculated that repayment would be given back it Shares of Madrox, the loan is over 1 year old now so you would of thought FPP would have wanted something back, either cash + interest or some shares for their efforts....again this is something we don't know, although nothing has changed on Madrox company accounts to date
No need not to mate, I think everyone knows what you post is what you get told. We all appreciate what you post and I dont think anyone on this board will blame or you have a go at you.
The deal was always less than £37m and I wouldn't think it's that now. (I'm guessing now but knew a lot more then.) This is why Donald wants a 'cake now, eat more cake later' deal.
I've no idea about the financial details or whether Donald will have shares if the Dreyfus group take over. At the moment FPP are currently the biggest investors and have charges on the club. Unless their loan is repaid they still have a big say in what happens next. Donald thought he could outsmart them and I doubt they'll make life easy for him.
