We may not get as many fans as Chelsea but at least they are real fans and not a load of 'Jonny come Roman'. And before you bore me with 'i have been going years' like the rest of your plastic mob (complete with cameras) because i remember you getting 17K gates.
You can’t even sell out your Champs league matches and need just about every radio station to sell tickets for you.
Sorry but Chelsea need to stay in there manor and not infest ours with the many tourists that i witnessed last time i was at the Bridge.
And like someone on another site said:
A spokesman said when talking of Chelsea moving " you just can't bulldoze ten years of history.."

In the 60s Arsenal were getting 4k gates so I don't see your point. It also depends as to what constitutes as real fans. We sell out every home league game, most of which do not reach general sale. For a big game like Arsenal, United or Spurs they are completely taken up by CFC members. IMO if somebody is paying £25 for a membership and going to the games then in my eyes they are real fans.

Chelsea have got as low as 9k when the Bridge was being redevloped in the early 90s, equally we have got as high as 80k and even exceeded 100k at Stamford Bridge in the past, this way before we had even won a trophy.

Given the fact that almost all of your games have gone on general sale and not sold out, it would be myopic to assume Loftus Road is always filled with "real fans". Being a London club you have to accept there will be a fair share of tourists and floating fans about.

Admittedly I am more of an away game fan now, but I can honestly say for League games and FA Cup games, I have never been sat or even seen a tourist which contrasts with my visits to Craven Cottage and Villa Park when I was surrounded by them.

I agree that Chelsea shouldn't move near to QPR territory though, and I personally wouldn't want to either <ok>

Fulham are getting crowds of over 20000; although they always sell 3000 to away fans; and 4000 to neutrals.

Why QPr are getting such poor crowds home and away is a mystery; they only optioned 1800 for Fulham away and then took 1200 extra later on; with very few in the neutral Putney section.

And despite price cuts they can't fill an 19000 stadium. Why? The recession?

I always thought Rangers were better supported than Fulham; but I've been proved wrong

I am sure there are; 14000 Rangers fans (your average home attendance this season, rest made up of away fans in 16k gates) ready to switch allegiance.

Chelsea have sold out pretty much every home Prem game since the stadium expanded in 2002.

Where did you get 19,000 from?

The capacity isnt 19,000 anymore - thats why it isn't being filled sweetheart.

Well if you don't see the point then maybe you should read the original post.
Some smug ‘donut’ tries to knock our gates and obviously doesn’t know his own clubs history, hence my ‘Jonny come Roman’ line.

QPR have been out of top flight for 15yrs and even went down to league One. We have faced admin and nearly gone bust and in those baron years did not manage to grow our fan base. When we finally return to the Premiership our chairman at the time priced out many fans and did not support the manager. Many fans were turned off by this and did not renew their season tickets.

As for not selling out, we actually nearly do every home game but if teams like Bolton only bring a few fans then our gates won’t be as good, however we have done okay with our away support.
What this really comes down to is that Chelsea/Fulham has built up a bigger fan bases with their time in the Prem and we have not. Agree Roman put his money where his mouth is and Chelsea has done really well.

WE are now in the top flight and have a fantastic backing and deserve our chance to grow like you.
Whatever happens Chelsea should never be anywhere near White City or us

You must be disappointed with a 15k attendance for your first Prem game for 16 years. Do you consider that fantastic backing?

Hammersmith blue, you seem a little obsessed with our attendances? Don't forget that there was a lot of discontent at the start of the season due to the then owners, and people voted with their feet, added to which, bolton didn't fill their end. We are at the start of a journey, those of us who go week in, week out right now are the same ones who were there when we were playing rushden and diamonds in league 1, but I'm sure, as we continue along our journey, more people will start taking notice and our gates will rise. This must sound familiar to you as a Chelsea fan, because like me, you must remember when your gates were as high as 30,000 for the big games, and as low as 10,000 for the little teams in the 80s when you were ****.

Fair play but what's the excuse for the poor away turnouts and 16k crowds since prices have been slashed.

Fulham upped their prices unfairly on entering the Prem and still averaged 19000

QPR probably have a higher core fanbase than Fulham, but Fulham get better attendances because they are an established PL club therefore they were able to pick up lots of floating fans and as I mentioned previously a lot, and I mean a lot of Fulham fans came about through the demise of the old Wimbledon.

Fulham also have the attraction of being located right across the Thames as well, location is another primary reason as well as cheap prices. For any non big game, Fulham can be as cheap as £5 for a game and they could easily sell out for United, Chelsea and Arsenal so can put prices up accordingly.

Who says we can't fill it? We've sold out every league game so far.

Could we sell 60,000 vs Wigan, Blackburn, QPR? Maybe not

Could we sell 60,000 for a top category game i,e Arsenal, West Ham, Spurs, United, Liverpool, City etc? Quite easily.

He is winding you up and it's clearly working <doh>

As a Blue, I actually agree with you wholeheartedly and have expressed my concern of Chelsea moving to White City for this very reason.

You may not sell out, but you do well to get the attendances you get given the fact you have two bigger clubs on your doorstep. This is why I also never have nor ever will knock Man City, Bolton or Blackburn for their attendances.

Yes but we have a far larger fanbase. If we were in North London next to Spurs and Arsenal I'm willing to bet our attendances wouldn't be as consistent.

Given the fact that QPR have not only us and Fulham, but also 3 other major London clubs to compete with they do okay, I agree though that you would expect a sell out but I suspect many still feel disillusioned about the club because of previous ownership.

Fulham have a slightly larger fanbase due to the fact there was only really us and Arsenal to compete with south of the river.

Stop the Wumming <ok>
