There is a world of difference between what's posted on a message board and what's published in the national press tbf and as far as I'm aware, no timescale apart from this has been published anywhere. If nothing has been announced a week from now, fair enough, then I could understand folk getting a bit nervous but not when we're just coming up to the two weeks that the Guardian said it would take for completion.

I really wouldn't call people being nervous about the takeover as negative? The negative ones are the ones saying it won't happen or if it does it's just a front for the evil Methven brigade.
certainly not from you mate. I think it mainly comes from social media. Wise men say pod and RR. They are very cynical and downplay everything. Have no trust in SD and Methven understandably. Wise men say picked up from one of their sources CM is going to be back at the club again heavily involved which has led to supporters to get all negative over it. RR reported that gooch had broken his foot when he hasn’t and they said he’d be out until the new year. However today they’ve said 2-4 weeks. They are now reporting sartoris wealth a lot less than he was made out to be. I think all fans want total change. The current regime out.

I think that RAWA and RR also talk their fair share of complete **** at times. I joined RAWA when it started up, but over time you see the same agendas and petty attitudes bubble to the surface. They're all like petulant kids at times, so I tend not to believe any of them.
I'll start by saying I'm still extremely optimistic this deal will happen and think it's going to be brilliant. But it was always going to get tetchy as it felt we reached the end-game. I completely trust the guys in here as they're consistent as anything and come across honest, genuine fans. But when you're hearing slightly different things, especially once hopes have raised so high after that awesome Athletic piece yesterday, it's understandable to be nervous that something might go wrong. Especially seeing many have had fears that Donald would repeat what he did last time and change the deal last minute. That fear had been allayed by Prehab saying there had been ink on the contract. But then Wheatsheaf says last night it isn't signed yet. And Alan Nixon then tweets that essentially due diligence is still going on and the FPP loan needs to be sorted. And this KLD stuff kicked off with the guardian 2 weeks ago saying it was expected to be done within a fortnight, and it hasn't. Now Nixon may be behind or guessing of course, and I think and hope that he is. But he might not be. And both Wheatsheaf and Prehab's sources may be describing the same thing slightly differently, but again they might not be. And re: timescales, it would be stupid to hold anybody to timescales at this point. But the Guardian decided to give timescales because their sources did... so its understandable to get nervous when they slip. As we are reaching the end game and I'm so bloody excited about this takeover and want it so bad, I'm I think understandably going to start getting a little nervous. If that makes me somebody that thrives on negativity then so be it. But this is a takeover discussion thread and if we were all just going to sit back and wait and see we may as well close the thread until its announced (which of course we shouldn't)

I've read a lot today on here and it seems to be a bit negative. Where that's come from I dont know? nothing I've read from journalists or others has warranted any of it. Nixon's comments are imo exactly where we are at. We're all desperate for it to happen so anything that doesn't say 'it's all done" is construed to 'it's not happening"...very strange.
