Have to say I’m not that far off that if we lose and especially if we don’t “turn up”. Used to be worse. It used to take at least half a week to get over a defeat but now I think I’ve mellowed.

I'm usually not arsed about 15 minutes after the fact, I'm what you call the Ashley generation. This is normal.

I've defo mellowed when it comes to us. I can't say I'll ever take a defeat well, but the missus reckons within a few hours I've forgotten we've even played. Whereas she reckons I could be unbearable for days after when I was younger. Age and an owner who is breeding apathy I suppose.

I have to say as well though football in general has lost its lustre with the state of the modern game, and the absolute fanny pads playing it. So it probably doesn't stir the same emotion.

I used to FUME during matches, people around me couldn't stand it.
Now when we do something dumb as **** I chuckle, some of the utter nonsense our players try is hilarious.

Its been like that every since Hughton left in fairness, we've never been too great at passing a football, or pressing, or anything like that.

That Pardew era was a generally good one though, but when we struggled we played quite our fair share of Bruce ball. Williamson was "Hoof master General" for a season.

McClaren tried to get us going, which in retrospect was a nice effort. He wanted to entertain, but he's quite clueless.

Since then, its been purposely boring football. Sam Allardyce ****.

Horrid.

Exact opposite for me, I'm apathetic during the game and then after I just get angrier and angrier, until I calm down and that's generally about 2 hours before the next kick off.
I used to be similar but the anger started during the game and not after. Also it usually didn’t cease until the next kick off. And then repeat.

What on Earth do I mean “used to”?..

Or she is just happy that you are out of the house on a Saturday afternoon. Did you not wonder why Albert cancelled his season ticket last year?
