I think subjectively people can choose whoever they want as their favourite players, I’d have Cantona, for what he was, and obviously I’d champion Ronaldo all day over Messi.
When it boils down to it though, GOAT’s are decided by mass opinion, and very rarely do you see Maradona outside of the top 2 or 3. A very special player.
You’d likely have Rob Lee on your list mate, so we can completely discount your opinion.
Tbh if you're talking world class players the toons produced a few, but I'll stand by my original pick Zidane...
