    There isnt a greatest band.

    One band that did get due claim though was XTC.

    Yeah they were good.

    Same goes for The Undertones. The O'Neil brothers wrote some wonderful tunes.

    There's still some good live music out there - but in the 70's and 80's were were spoiled for choice with some brilliant British bands.
    I'm a fan of all genres of music - from heavy electronic bass driven dubstep - to obscure Balkan gypsy music - and everything in between
    I play in two bands - and nothing beats the energy of live music.

    99% of the music industry is vacuous bullshit - but the 1% of pure quality makes up for it <ok>

    Saw them at the Patti Pavilion in Swansea in the mid 90's Gonz. Me and about 20 others! Mark E Smith looked rough then, god knows what the ****er would look like now.
