MLT is one of those lucky people satisfied with his lot (which by the way was pretty good....job he loved, playing for the team he loved, Family settled and the rest of his family a short flight away).....why risk all that and keep moving until you find a place that doesn't make you happy and then retire. He once said when asked about why he didn't make a lucrative move....how much money do you need? Some people always seek more....and that's ok if you are ambitious (and I don't just mean for money), but happiness is when you recognise yourself and accept it. There are people always chasing things....and they can be very useful for the advance of society...but we don't all have to be like that.

As for the game last night....always a shame to drop points, but this was against a good team, away from home....and every team drops points sometimes. We are a long time unbeaten and have 17 points after 9 games....lots to make us happy there. Ralph is an excellent manager and the players are responding to him. Excellent interview on Sky from Theo....he loves it here and has terrific respect for the manager. We won't win every game, but no opposition team should feel safe...looking forward to a good season.

Channon’s a good example actually. Always played with a smile on his face, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t want to win. He absolutely did, and he absolutely loved scoring goals (or training a winner on the turf).

Agreed FLT - l really enjoyed it - the way we moved the ball around particularly in the first half was a joy to watch. I was reminded of how we used to play before Ralph, it struck me just how much we have improved, with so few changes to the squad. I was also impressed by Wolves, we have seen teams wilt under a high press, high energy Saints team, but they stood firm and always looked dangerous and deserved a point.

I would add l enjoyed how both managers were making adjustments to counteract each other. Loved that too.

I’d put that down more to the brilliance of Jimenez, rather than Vesty’s slowness. Jimenez feinted a run into the box, but quickly ran back out to receive the pass and shoot with his first touch. Not many strikers are that good, and Vestergaard was completely sold. Our CB’s are prone to the odd mistake, Bednarek got done in a similar way against Newcastle which ended up OK, but on the other hand 4 clean sheets in 9 games speak for themselves, albeit with the help of a resurgent McCarthy. Never mind moaning at Theo for missing a sitter, Alex earned us that point last night, and 4-2 to Wolves would have been a fair result without his saves.

(Copied from a reporter at last nights match)

Ralph has also confirmed that Nathan Redmond will miss Sunday's clash with Manchester United, 7-10 days he thinks, with a hamstring injury. Not great news, he says he wanted to have him to bring on against Wolves.

That wasn't why I mentioned him to be honest. I was just simply stating that a guy's personality doesn't necessarily decide whether he is handy in front of goal or not.

But you raise a good point. Personally I'd disagree, because its a bit too hypothetical to discuss what he could have achieved. We all thought Schneiderlin was going to go on and become a Man Utd legend, and that didn't exactly work out for him. Countless other examples too. It wasn't as though Le Tiss went the Nile Ranger route of getting kicked out of every club he played for.

A bit concerning that he is the third player in 2-3 weeks with a hamstring issue.
Now that we’re a top 6 team, maybe we should be pushing for 5 substitutes.

209 goals from midfield and probably as many if not more assists in a struggling team scoring some of the best goals that top flight football has ever seen I would say that he had a exemplary personal career and displayed his considerable talent consistantly for us.
If you are talking about lack of England caps then that is more down to the English mistrust of creative players that has been prevalent since the days of Stan Bowles, Alan Hudson, Tony Currie etc, Glenn Hoddle wasn't noted to have great defensive qualities either. As for moving to a "big club", he only recieved one offer from Chelsea I believe and they weren't the trophy winners in the 90s that they became later in the 2000s so it's debateable that he would've won that much or even that he would've been allowed to flourish like he did here.

Yeah don’t disagree. He cost us 2 pts, nearly 3. Still, as all have said, a pt against a very difficult side for us. We looked very good for the first 65-70mins but when Wolves went more aggressive, we started to unravel.

I think last night was a good litmus test of how far we have progressed as a team and a hard fought draw at Wolves where it might've gone either way between two well matched team shows that we have caught up with them and a European challenge might not be beyond us this season.

I expected us to get at least a point and we did. I find it difficult to understand why the criticism for a player if he makes a mistake. Are we all such perfectionists that we never make mistakes? The same for missing a goal players know just like we do that a mistake was made but just have to get on with the game. They cant let it affect them........Yes a couple of players were off their game a bit but surely that's not surprising after a layoff.
Wolves always tend to be a bit physical and you have to give them credit for coming back at us. It sounds like it was a good game of football neither team losing neither team winning with both teams probably thinking they should have won. Well done Saints, Well done the lads.
Now are we going to be one of the sides to be allowed 4000 to watch the game in a couple of weeks??? It won't be me unfortunately but it will be a strange atmosphere for some. COYS

Even Ingsy has missed the occasional one on one, it was a costly miss but Theo had a good game overall I think.

Certainly, good practice for Europe playing Los Lobos.
