Can anyone, anyone anywhere tell me why Poveda wouldnt do a better job on the rights side of midfield rather than Roberts? Anyone?
Sound like you're starting to question the maestro's judgement there Doc ? Joking aside, it's going to be key tomorrow that whoever fills in the Rodrigo/Hernandez position has a good game. We went with Jamie Shak against Leicester and it didn't work with him getting hooked at HT. Roberts came on later and it changed the flow of the game and appeared to have a negative effect. Different challenge against Arsenal as they like to dominate possession and will always play out from the back. They'll invite the press and expose us if they play around or through it. Does Tyler strike you as a player who's positionally aware enough for this game...no not really.
From what I have seen the next best player who could potentially play that 'free role' for us would be young Gelhardt. Well impressed with him. He'd certainly do his fair share of defending and would be an unknown in attack. He reminds me of Pablo in that he is willing to take risks when he has the ball. Yes he might lose it sometimes but if it comes off it's a chance to score or a goal. I think he could play that role quite easily.
morning all it is matchday at last any team news yet ? or has bielsa learned not to announce too soon.
15 th place need to win this one, Sliding down the table faster than a prossies knickers, today must be the day for 3 points
Looking forward to the game. Two teams who like to have posession and try and play good attacking football. Both teams are weakest at the back. Should be lots of chances and lots of goals. I'm going to sit back and hopefully enjoy us getting the better of it. One thing for certain is that we will have chances. It's up to us to take them.
my thoughts exactly todger we need at least a draw.bielsa needs to re think his tactics he thinks they are a mint.
10 mins until the teams are announced... Hope Rodrigo is starting and obviously Kalvin as well. If so then the team picks itself.
