I went in the away end because it was covered Had a great view of our goal but had to sit on my hands to stop celebrating.
I guess you mean the home end. Three coldest matches I've been to - Milton Keynes at the Hockey Stadium, the pitch was like a skating rink and really shouldn't have gone ahead but I suspect no-one could be bothered with a rearrangement; Runcorn replay at Witton; and Birmingham away a couple of years ago, when the away end faced directly into the teeth of an ice storm, I genuinely I might freeze to death during half time.
Not forgetting that mad game at the Riverside, where we couldn't even see to the halfway line... please log in to view this image
Funnily enough I've always found the KCOM to be ****ing freezing. The concrete floor holds zero heat, so you're effectively resting your feet on whatever outside temperature it is, which in mid December/January is somewhere around zero. I wore walking boots one week and it still didn't help. Mind you I went to Finland in a ****ing hoody so I can't talk.
Incidentally, De Wijs isn't even making matchday squads anymore. I know Grant said he's behind Greaves and Burke, but is he so behind he can't even make the bench?
That was a tenner tiger travel game. It was Baltic. We were getting humped so me and my mate spent the last 20 minutes on the coach outside the ground.
The Hawthorns can be a windy cold arsed place. We had to shelter behind one of our mates who is, shall we say, a big lad.
