That is incorrect. More white males should be on TV in general to represent the demographics of society. If we look at roles in television white working class males are grossly under represented. The topical BBC own studies highlight this as an evidence base.

Posters are making points about proportionality, fairness TV quotas e.g the BBC are aiming for and achieving % of employees from bame groups that go past actual demographic levels - white people are thus being discriminated against.

Diversity does not have to mean less white.

Anyway, Now that you've all come to the conclusion & judgement, that I must be a typical Brit, that hates other cultures with racist views.
I have a question for whoever wants to answer!!
Do you all honestly believe, or are gullible enough to think that Sainsburys produced this Christmas advert with such lovely, honest, sincere, genuine & kind, festive intentions just showing a family enjoying themselves at Christmas without intentionally, creating a very clever but contentious marketing ploy knowing that it would cause a talking point for maximum effect?

Sticking to the song though - if you were gay and at Christmas you saw your family belt out "you cheap lousy ***got", would it bother you?

I absolutely get that sometimes PC does go too far and I agree with lots of your examples on it. But I kinda get this one - if you're gay there's a good chance you've been bullied quite a lot in life for it. It's a bit unnecessary when you could just take the word out, and the song still remains as great as it always was.

it’s a discrimination that shall not be talked about, although how white working class males being left behind by society is starting to resonate even with the Liberal left.

The fear the inhibiting cults of diversity, multiculturalism and political correctness creates is not anti racism. Real vile racism can be allowed to fester and propagate itself and authority turns its eyes elsewhere due to the racist card being applied. Tens of thousands of kids were being ****ed by racist ***** gangs and authority allowed it to happen and covered it up.

The same fear is present in advertising. Companies are fearful of being labelled racist. Accusations of nebulous racism destroys lives, it will damage businesses ... Business cow tows to this viscious “Liberalism”.

Great business. Situationism and publicity = air play. Small radio stations are charged a few quid a play, the mainstream it can be over a hundred pounds at peak times .. Kerching.

What’s that got to do with music?

The vast majority of music consumption is done online now. James Blunt reportedly earns £00.0004499368 per stream. If you take that amount, Fairytale of New York has earned about £6.8k per year on average from streaming. Add on radio play and you probably don’t even reach the average yearly wage, for one of the most famous songs ever. That’s without even giving royalties to Kirsty MacColl’s family as well.

In the 90s they’d have made a fortune when people bought singles and albums but I’d imagine now it’s sod all.

cor possibly an unpointed question!
to be honest regarding just this board not got a clue 70% of the boards are inactive anyhows … as for their feelings I guess some might take umbrage, I DONT although the reality of some of the plots are a bit thin or some cheesy

The latter part 70's and jobs I can only go by facts and experience …. THE MAIN FACT why there were fewer black people in "the workforce % " was they made up far less of the population! in the 60's and early 70's the major employers tended to recruit from existing family employee's .. ask older generations about where they worked and how they got a job? .. answer = my dad my grandad my uncle / aunt etc jobs were mainly assumed for life! "the clock or pocket watch for 40+ years" was common.
THE 80'S was a bad time for everybody black or white over 3m unemployed …. I posted my working "history" with working alongside … and never had any issues ….
