This season you’re merely having to deal with what most other clubs have dealt with during that period.

Allison out for ten games ish at start then out around time we lost to Atletico
Gomez got smashed at Burnley
Fab out for donkers
Matip was out in out
Mane salah both had stints out
Hendo was out
Even Virg was out when we went to WCC
Add in ox who is never fit
Robbo was out and Milner stepped in

so not really been lucky - what people meant was VVd wasn’t out for the season like he is this time

Can’t remember that but Maguire is ancient history to us now, I remember the uproar when Hazma went too close to Mo!
Can’t see past a Liverpool win, despite all hype I’m only seeing the definite absentees as TAA, Van Diik, Gomez and Salah. There seems to be question marks over the others (taking the chosen starting 11 not subs and back ups). Of course come kick off some of those might not make it.
That 4 is compatible to Ricardo, Casagne, Soyuncu and Ndidi and we also have a couple of question marks over Fofana and Schmeichel (although he played since his head injury for Denmark so assume fine) and Evans has seemed a constant doubt.
In terms of genuine absences from each teams first 11, I can see the numbers being the same despite all the hype about Liverpool.
 
So just chucked the sports news on whilst eating my breakfast as an alternative to BBC COVID blah blah blah and Mourinho is actually talking about what a proud moment it was to go top for 2 hours ans had a commemorative artist drawing about it. Will say nothing :bandit:

Yeah i think thats fair
Tbf all we heard last season was how many injuries City had (even though they are just about the only team with a truly deep squad imho)
I think the hype is just cause we are current champions and the high profile of how the Thiago and specifically VVD injuries occurred, which to me is crazy but press need something.
Hendo is missing off your list as is Thiago but i think its fair to say we are both massively depleted and hopefully it will eventually get reported equally.
Oddly, i think if you had lost Vardy you would have got the coverage too

Hendo and Thiago I have seen in the doubtful camp so yes if they don’t play then you would have more first team starters out. We seem to be coming out of our worst, Maddison, Vardy, Praet, Evans all have spent multiple games out as well as the long term ones. I think Barnes, Schmeichel and Tielemans are the only ones who haven’t been to be fair. Given that it seems to be defence where both are worst hit you could be right about high scoring so bets on 0-0? oh and Man City can f*** off with their two £50mill players for each position!

First up, the skunks vs Chavs.

No Wilson for the Toon, could be a painful watch, as Bruce plays his 8-1-1 formation praying for a last minute set piece. This game will defo need an early goal, otherwise I might snooze through it.
