The PL offered arbitration via a narrow scope. No doubt to hide what really want on. It has back fired and now the world will know who it is that calls the shots. Any club thst has influenced this should be thrown out of the PL.
The more I think about it the more I wonder if the big six did in fact bribe or threaten the PL. The PL need the big six or the product is gone. If they go into a euro league, unless it’s the Premier Euro League then they stand to lose out. If this does in fact work out for us and we get our takeover, we will be THAT person who wasn’t invited to the party.
I suspect it is linked to their project and I think when this goes to arbitration or court there is going to be a scandal. The PL seem very keen to delay pre-disclosure.
Strange how certain visitors to this Board aren’t visiting at the moment. Course the Saudi’s walked away.
But what is overlooked is that the so called big six also need the PL. A closed shop Euro Super League will only attract interest for a short period. Likewise Sky would also only be interested for a short while. Ask yourselves how many of you no longer watch every match on television? I know I don’t. Sky has saturated television with too many matches. Same would happen more quickly with a Euro Super League than the PL both people turning off and saturation as there would be no variation of teams. Also if we go Euro Super League with no Newcastle United then my Sky subscription is cancelled the next day. If every none big six fan did the same that League would collapse faster than a pack of cards.
They played a blinder. No comment and initiated legal action alongside Mike Ashley. PIF do not take being insulted well. The PL are about to find that out.
Project big picture. The top 6 wanted to be able to block takeovers. Reported that Spurs and Liverpool blocked it whilst their discussions were going on. House of cards.
Rumour is Derby have made contact with Rafa, but haven't agreed on finances yet. Celtic are also said to be interested. However, he's still holding out hope that our takeover goes through.
