I've heard nothing new, at all, but the fact that GOM received the news optimistically is encouraging. (He's like Spock and only deals in logic.) I was told a week ago that it's only the announcement left to configure so I don't know what news there could be unless it's appointments. I'll be checking the French media over the weekend,
Vauxie emabarrasing himself again. Pleading to be allowed to post on the takeover thread. He must want to discredit upthere with what he's said
Anyone could write his posts tbh. A) Bob is right about everything B) Everyone else is wrong about everything His next thread will be 'Why was my thread deleted?'
Quote of the day already Yep he's a cool head and deals in facts, he's hitting about 10 on my trustoneter.
****er got be banned for calling him out on his tedious bob knaaaars crack. They won’t let him back on cos that means they will have to let me back on too
He’s an absolute prick. He’s always complaining to the mods like a pathetic bairn. What an embarrassment going on like dobby ‘my lord and master’.
Good match on here last night, Monaco came back from 2-0 to win 3-2. I was only watching to see how Mannone played but it turned out to be a cracker ... ... certainly better than the translation "79 ' Sarabia tests Mannone PSG are trying to raise their heads. With his back to the goal in the Monaco area, Moise Kean performs a too long oriented control which sends the ball into the race of Pablo Sarabia. The low and framed shot of the Spaniard is blocked by Vito Mannone." Eight of Monaco's starting 11 were under 23's.
I was watching some of our games from the league cup run when we got the final and only realised then how much I miss him. He was a much better keeper than I gave him credit for, yeah he made the odd mistake but which keeper doesn't. Looking at what we have now and then looking at Vito really puts things into perspective. He really seemed to care for the fans a well. Top man.
He was a better keeper than most give him credit for.. I stood behind the goal that night at Old Trafford in the upper tier.. My lad looked at me and asked if I was nervous.. I stood, turned to him ,arms folded, head held high, proud of me barin's in the yellow shirt (RED & WHITE really) who had battled hard, nay played Manure off the park that night and said No, its our night, Vito would see us through. You don't have to ask me if its true, the young lad who was Samson the Cat stood behind me, arm around my neck and on the final save by Vito from Rafael(I think it was) will confirm it.. Oh Vito Mannone has never been sung louder.
Reading that gives me shivers down my spine. I long for the better days again. Hopefully we will get a good christmas present this year.
I was never Vito's biggest fan in the sense I thought we needed better to improve as a prem team but it makes you think about some of the players we have had in the past and how much you would love to have them now. I'm not even talking about the obvious ones of Phillips, bent, defoe etc. I'm talking about an Alex Rae, Gavin mcann Emerson Thome. It makes viewing this team a little more depressing, you never know what you have until you lose it. Imagine having Nicky Sumerbee(my favourite player of that era) putting the crosses in for the strikers we have now, oh never mind lol
Been cracking catching up on this thread today, incredibly heartwarming. I have no family and in all honesty my parents should have been sterilized as they were never fit to have kids. It's really cool to see how many folk out there who aren't like that and have genuine love for their family, thanks to everyone who shared their stories.
I know this is just an example but I loved Rae, McCann and Thome. At the moment I would love to have even Whitehead, Lawrence and Le Tallac.
It’s amazing to think how entitled some supporters were back then. I sincerely hope that once we get back to the EPL then those same supporters are a bit more humble considering what we are currently putting up with.
