I didn't read it like like fans not wanting him back, people were saying that guess he isn't going to be offered the job by the new owner. Whether on the back of those comments or those comments are in the back of him realising he wasn't getting a job.
It wasn't meant to be factual mate, just a pun on what Phillips has said ... ... and really didn't need to be said unless he has an agenda or a cheque in his hands.
Sorry if already mentioned but that Philip’s article is basically clickbait. He’s paid by some news outlet to comment on a Sunderland related story every Friday. A potential controversial story will of course generate more traction and get more views. A telling point that we are discussing it now. Mind, to be fair to him, I think we are all generally a little nervous about SD and CM hanging around if they will still be part of the decision making process. If it’s just for investment purposes, and a future expected greater return on their shares say when we get back to championship or maybe even prem....then that’s pretty much ok with me.
That photo has really shaken me tbh mate. I laughed at first and loved picking out @TopClub and John Stirk, etc. Then I looked at me and wondered wtf. This was the annual school photo and I look like I've been raised by wolves ffs. The other kids are dressed and have nice haircuts, I'm in rags with hair me Mam obviously did. I always thought we were all dirt poor, and in it together, but I look like the underclass. This is a real time of reflection tbh.
Not upset but shocked that a nothing article where he has raised questions that the majority have raised, in that the two knackers will still be involved, has caused one or two posters to more or less say he wouldnt be welcomed back.
It works by being taken over, phillips like the rest of us have no idea what the set up is going to be if they takeover. Think hes basically saying he was hoping for a clean break from the current owners

Don’t think most people would be bothered if Toot and Ploot were involved as they would be minority shareholders with little or no input - bit like now really .Main thing is that if and when the takeover happens it would appear that the new owners want to put in place a professional infrastructure with Football people running the club in order to progress the Club unlike the present owners . Just wish it was all signed off so we can move on from those chancers .

Fair comments, but ideally i want them a distant bad memory. I watched the last 2 episodes of STID2 before, and donalds comments throughout just got me thinking he aint letting go of this.
