not letting the cat out of the bag but we can expect that alisson williams/milner matip Phillips robertson windy fabinho thiago jota firmino mane is very possible here. the risks are tight hamstring at left full and two cms who are just back plus the most brittle "senior" cb on the planet. if we could play that side and win imo we are on our way again. I'd rest players v atalanta then midweek and start Jones and Williams and tsimikas and shaqiri as minimum 3 points off that side and another motm performance from Phillips.
Alisson is wearing a Clemence tribute shirt for the warm up, no doubt available in the shop at some exorbitant price!
The Wolves game was one of our least impressive this season more due to how they play, they don’t give away many chances at all. Apart from the West Ham home game the worst display I have seen this season (didn’t see the Villa game). Leeds away and Man City away were the most impressive. If we can break your press and get beyond the midfield we may do well, can’t see that happening with Fabinho and Thiago though. You still have a strong enough side available to win this easily.
We will have a strong side but i reckon it will be down to approach on both sides. Vardy can get after matip without question and williams/milner will be a real weak link to attack. the issue is how often you try. If you rely on hitting on the beak then its about our transition to cover these players. we will attack so its about who gets the best chances and takes them (sounds obvious) If we have 10 chances and you have 2 then its hard to see you win. If its 10 chances each then you have to be confident of vardy scoring a couple.
Actually, if you had 10 shots to 2 ratio (even if that was 20 to 4, it wouldn’t surprise me if we at least drew as we have a freakish conversion efficiency rate. My concern is not getting two chances such as Boxing Day...
we have a plan for vardy. catch him offside then hit him with an axe. apparently you can do ANYTHING once its offside first
We get caught out a lot by players being offside and then gaining a corner from it, but VAR won't check that
I meant generally but ok. Which of the pens weren’t in your opinion then or are you just looking at the numbers without context around the incidents themselves? And yes the handball on against Wolves is bullshit but that’s the rule not us.
Vardy goes over like Andy Johnson in his prime mate. Anyway, I was merely pointing out the obvious. You’ve got no chance btw, as they’ve hand picked their own officials
you are top of the league and yet you expect us too win easily due to the possibility of 2 crocked players being rushed back FFS man up . PS we will rip you a new one
Vardy is not different to countless other players in the league, not least your very own Richarlison To be fair, 2 pens vs West Brom and 3 vs Man City, that was a case of two teams defending like amateurs! I think it’s an anomaly anyway and can’t see us getting many more. Agree re Liverpool hand picking
