Where’s he said this mate, any links got it https://www.footballinsider247.com/...changes-mind-over-sunderland-takeover-update/ load of ****e if you ask me, Donald will have no say, no power and no sway on anything when we’re taken over. He’s even suggested in another article that Duncan watmore will return to his “ boyhood” club if he does well at boro. Horse **** if you ask me
It looks crap to me mate, he mentioned having no experience in running a football club but doesn’t say his parents were heavily involved with Marseille
Thought that was you with the grin and chest sticking out. Its so long ago that most of my memories are a collection of flash backs. I do seem to remember picking you up at leadgate railway bridge for a trip around the works with my dad driving the steam train. Thanks everyone for all the birthday wishes, nice quiet day for me, just for a change. Roll on the vaccine and Kyrill's signature!
It is. Can't see why anyone would take any notice of that. He's got no more idea of how this will play out than we have. I loved him when he was here....a complete legend....but he needs to keep his ****ing mouth shut if he can't add anything constructive.
They cannot get there heads around the share distribution even when none of us know exactly what it may be based only on what we are hearing. Just wait and they like us will find out. Personally l want the Cotswold cowboy and his side kick out, but if they finish with a minority share holding with no say then happy days. The negativity over there is fxxxing deafening and depressing HTL's Something to celebrate, anyway happy birthday Top Club enjoy your day
Phillips might be right, and he might be wrong. Everyone wants to see the back of the chancers, but unless Phillips' " research" has allowed him privileged info as to the make up of any new share ownership, then I'm afraid he is just bumping his gums. We'll know some enough. Trivial articles in trivial publications mean nothing unless they are backed up by solid facts.
If he has thought it through, as he has been quoted as saying, and comes to the conclusions that he has, then he hasn't thought it through very well imo. You never know with these type of sites, whether they were his actual words or if they have been twisted to suit the 'journalists' story.
I agree, the way some ****e hawks use it as an excuse. "Oh the fans are too demanding and unforgiving, they turned on me for nothing". Then journalists, who let's face it are mostly lazy and uninformed these days, trawl through message boards /twitter/ Facebook groups and so on to find posts they can use to support that. Then once it keeps being put out, the perception from people outside start to think we are toxic, which gives other ****e hawks an excuse. Just look at Rodwell and how the Mail tried to get him sympathy and paint us and the club as the villan
There are many players and managers over the very many years I've been going to watch this club who have said we have put immense pressure on the visiting team. Sir Bobby Charlton, who said the three cup games against us in 1964 were the most memorable of his career.....World Cup winner,European Cup Winner,etc.,etc,. I wish I could remember which visiting manager it was in the Peter Reid days who said when he walked out at the SOL and looked at his players,he knew they were going to get thrashed..he could see the fear in his players faces. The only time our own players feel any pressure from us is when they're not doing what they should be doing! If they did,all the pressure would be on the visiting team! Anyone who says any different, just hasn't followed the club!
Spot on there, my dad spoke to Danny Blanchflower after they drew the cup tie at Roker in 60/61 season. He told him he’d never heard anything like it and it frightened the Spurs players
My message to any player who doubts he can take the pressure of playing in front of 40,000 people or a sold out away section is ... .... 'don't sign on, take our money and be too frightened to pass the ball 6 yards'.
Cheers mate and a very happy birthday once again. You've certainly made my day and the photo has gone round the entire family. I've always told my sons I was raised by wolves and that photo certainly backs me up ... ... school photo and I'm dressed in rags.
Obviously I love Super Kev but that statement that he knows nothing about football and how to run a football club has to be one of the biggest pieces of bullshit to come out of anyone's mouth regarding this takeover! IF he has researched KLD then it's not hard to see he's a football nut and grew up alongside his Dad turning Marseille around and is still involved there in a small capacity due to his Mother keeping hold of 5%. Sorry SKP but you've done yourself no favours there mate.
