The Sunderland takeover saga was much longer than this, featured a whole host of fake and failed bids, even one failed bidder put in a £10M investment and then vanished. Just got bought out by a complete surprise candidate (one which I'm not even that impressed with tbh)

We will see a few turns and twists for sure, I think it might conclude with a complete surprise purchaser tbh.

That's just it. There is legal persuasive precedent that confirms separation. The WTO as an example. TRIPPS provisions. International law which is Shaheed Fatimas forte.

The PL is trying to delay this. Presumably because they know a court will find in favour of NUFC. I think it is a formality.

no mate. Compo is chicken feed compared to selling the club for over £300m still when the true value has dropped massively due to Covid.

of course, but I'd be arguing that the offer is no longer on the table, so he's taking what he can get.

    He'll sell it eventually.

I hope when we are eventually relegated under Bruce he will sell up for less and just be done with it.

Exactly my thoughts when I read this part of the statement.

"It is unclear when those proceedings will be resolved, given the approach of the EPL and its lawyers, Bird & Bird.

****s are dragging their heels like they were during the owners and directors test.

I am confused now. Is it legal action or arbitration?

So they settle out of court. And we don’t get to hear what happens?

Only if both parties agree to keep the decision confidential or the arbitration panel rules to do so.

This one is in the public interest though so I doubt it.

I wouldn't say its inevitable. I'd argue its more likely than it ever was, in my opinion.

    True words though.

Arbitration - clarification of the relationship between PIF and Saudi. Legal separation confirmed in arbitration is legally binding. Application of the ODT test. An agreed process that id legally binding.

PIF resubmit. The ODT applied. Legal separation found so the named directors can be assessed. Pass with flying colours.

The PL know they cannot stop it and so are trying to delay. They did not account for Mike Ashley. His obstinance will actually save NUFC. Full circle.

Still think there’s a spanner in the works to come.

Here’s a thought. PL drag it out for 6 months. In the meantime Bruceball takes us down.

    PL agree to the arbitration.

But PIF won’t buy a relegated team.

PL lose the arbitration but win anyways.
