If it's proven that fans have a negative impact on player performance, then maybe clubs should charge more to keep them away ? Just sayin
so - are you saying paddy’s a choker? Can’t deliver under pressure? Harsh, you should get behind the guy rather than undermine his confidence with these type of comments.
Koch looks a better footballer undoubtedly - I like him, really I do, I just can’t hide from the number of mistakes he’s made so far. Hopefully he settles down. With CBs often it’s about pairings and understanding. Hopefully it comes... it needs to.
I'm not getting behind anyone anymore... I'm keeping all in front of me, in plain view, you fellow forumite f*ckers you
I'm sure you were one of the nostalgia crew... Getting all teary eyed about L1, Bates being in charge and row upon row of empty seats ???
Well IMO it was a time when the club as a whole were fully united and it felt like those days when it was us against them.
If we'd got out at the 1st attempt I might have agreed but it went on far too long and then there was Kenneth in charge which spoiled everything for me. It's been one a hell of a journey over the last 16 years, so it's understandable we all take different things out of it. The day GFH took over I was so happy and even though they fleeced us even more, we simply had to get that Chelsea scum out of our club. That's why I'll always be greatful for Cellino...he was the only guy crazy enough to take us on during all that madness and try to make some sort of sense out of the ownership structure of the club, stadium & training complex, which then paved the way for Radrizani
Agree, with Zaha on the ball we had five defenders in the box, not one pressed him allowing to slip the ball though to the unmarked Ayew. I suspect Bielsa was fuming with our defending on that 4th goal
Bamford has certainly proved his knockers wrong raising his game to another level, right now he certainly doesn't look out of place in the prem
Even though we conceded four at Liverpool I thought the Koch/Struijk combination did well when you consider Koch was making his Leeds debut & that game was the first time Pascal started a game at CB against the best three man attack in the PL Ayling/Koch combo looked decent at Villa Koch/Cooper combo looked like strangers v Leicester & Palace, admittedly Cooper was returning from a injury. Time will tell as the season draws on.
As Jammy posted earlier there won't be wholesale changes, that is not Marcelo's way I have no doubt Phillips & Rodrigo will improve our performance level, however in my opinion we are still not playing our best XI
I think it's more likely that he read through Coopers injury record over the years & reckoned that we desperately needed cover immediately. Then we bought a Spanish international CB that seems to be a bit of a sickie himself. Well, first impressions & all that.
I'm less bothered about them both going for the same ball... or neither of them going for it - both marking the same man... or neither of them marking anyone. That's the sort of thing that happens with new partnerships. What's concerned me with Coops is how nervous/hurried he's looked - maybe he'll settle when fully fit and back in the swing - or maybe it's just the pace of the game and pace of opponents. What's concerned me with Koch is his basic defending. Losing markers at corners/crosses, missing headers and weak defensive headers. Also been turned quite a few times.. admittedly by quick and skillful players. That happens to everyone - it's just happened more than i'd hope to see in just a handful of games from a German International. Hopefully just a bit over-eager at a new club, new country and he'll settle down.
When the machine has a malfunction all hell breaks out. Due to inferior parts in parts of the machine and ill fitting parts in other areas the rear of the machine was left exposed and open to be overrun. Hopefully next match will see repairs to the front end which makes sure the whole machine is back in line
