It's in fashion now to have one left footed and one right footed centre back. Bowyer has mentioned this several times in interviews so it wouldn't surprise me to see Pearce return as he's left footed, I guess it depends on whether he's fit enough for 90mins yet.
So which of Matthews, Inniss, Gunter or Maatsen would you drop then Junior? Or would you play 3 CB's and two wing backs?... in which case you would have to drop Washington because he is not good lone striker. You could play 5-3-2 I guess but how would you fit in both Watson and Pratley in a three? You would end up playing some sort of 5-2-1-2... not sure that works? .... or perhaps 5-3-1-1 because Aneke did join us as a number 10
If we're playing what I think our current best line up is then I'd keep Matthews at RB, Innis & Gunter as CBs and Maatsen at LB with Pratley as the holding midfielder who can drop back into defence when we're under pressure. Bowyer might choose to play Pearce if fit or even Purrington as one of the left sided CBs.
Elfs did you see you can win one of the infamous “Range Rovers” if you buy the live stream through valley pass ?
Just spat me tea out. Elfs part with a tenner, your having a laugh. When me and the little fella met up for the leeds away game , I said get us a bag of crisps mate. I've only brought out £20 for the night was his reply
I think our ex reserve striker Hanlon plays up front for the Gills. Inniss will be able to light a cigar during the game.
Hanlon left Gillingham to join Bristol Rovers. He has scored 3 in 10 for them. It will not be easy against the Gills. We last won there in the league forty years ago when Peacock headed the winner. I was there and I remember Charlton Supporters taking over both ends.
Only remember as I was one of the only smug looking supporters in the corporate bit of the crowd sitting on my hands
